C & O Canal National Historical Park Headquarters — Attraction in Williamsport

Thought users of Google Maps might want to see some old photos of the C & O Canal and related structures. Many of these photos I am posting are from Civil War era (including Mathew Brady/Levin Handy, Library of Congress) to early 20th century. What a great hidden gem in DC! Whether you fancy yourself a runner, biker, or speed walker, the C&O canal offers an excellent scenic trail for you to practice your sport. I love running on this trail because I find the dirt to be much more forgiving on my joints than Tarmac. Plus, the scenery is definitely something to brag about. Lots of weeping trees, wide open waters, and even Blue Herons standing on rocks...

No accessibility found for mobility impaired no signage designating such my wheelchair got covered in all sorts of grime trying to locate non stair accessibility. No ranger available to assist in finding or letting me know....how in 2021 does a national park trail not have accessibility......
