Williamsport Visitors Center — Attraction in Williamsport

Visit if you'd like some history about this little Maryland town. Sitting right by the canal, the park headquarters office has a lot of available parking. There are public restrooms, too. As of 5/26/18, the rehab of the aqueduct is still taking place, but there is no impact if you are traveling south on the towpath. It's a short hike to lock 100, and you can even take a boat ride down...

The canal is a beautiful place at all times of the day. Walking, running, hiking and biking are just a few things that I love about the canal. There is a boat slip great fishing in the canal along with the power plant dam. So much history around each corner. Incredible place to do photo shoots especially in the fall. Just a great place that costs nothing to gain amazing memories...

Very small with porta potties. Park Rangers we're taking a group out on boats on the canal leaving two first day on the job workers to answer questions that they were untrained to answer. The National Park Service usually does a much better job of training at all of the sites we've visited....
