Honestly? Some of the best food to be had in Williamsport.
This quaint Cafe offers some delicious options that provide a healthier and fresher counter-balance to the several (admittedly tasty) pizza places around town.
We had a Shrimp Imperial Grilled Cheese Sandwich and an Avocado BLT wrap.
The Shrimp imperial was perfectly toasted, hot, and absolutely packed with big lumps of crab meat. It wasn't overly seasoned with Old Bay, which allowed all the natural seafood flavors to shine.
The Avocado BLT wrap was cold (intentionally) and tasted great with the perfect ratios of the various ingredients. The bacon was well cooked and not too stringy or too crunchy. The avocado and spring mix greens were fresh, the avocado nicely ripened and the greens crisp and light!
All in all, a delightful experience.
Onto the atmosphere: comfortable and refreshingly witchy vibes in a delightful antiqued-wood-on-brick package. The employees were a delight and the place was clean and well kept. We were checked on at a good pace, the food came out quickly, and I never felt rushed out despite sitting for several minutes after eating.
Now for the prices: I'm going to be hard pressed to dig for any complaints about this place, and the prices continue that trend. Around $9 for just about everything on the menu. The portions were maybe slightly smaller, but I would say they were reasonable for a light lunch, and definitely worth the price.
If I had to find some complaints: The business is small with minimal seating. While we came during off hours, I can see this being a problem during busy times.
The menu is also limited. While there are some really interesting, new, and creative options (especially here in Pizza-and-dive-bar town) they are missing some "staples" that many people would expect. I'd recommend taking a look at the menu online before you come, and expect to try something new...
Read moreWhile in the search for booking a location for my graduation party my mom thought Lotus Moon would be a great place. I went there when I was in the area and was greeted by a girl named Mallory. She was initially interested in showing me everything and told me I could bring in ANY food and drinks I would like. I asked about parking and that’s when she became very snobby and rude. She was saying it wasn’t her fault and she didn’t care that the parking was an issue when I was just asking. When I call back 3 weeks later I asked to book I set the date and then all of right then I needed to use their food. They gave me no other ideas of what they could provide other than wraps???? Lol. Then I asked to be emailed a menu and bill and it never came. I got an email today from the owner calling me by the completely wrong name asking me to call her. I reached out and she cancelled my event and referred me to other company’s not to reschedule my date. In total this is a completely unprofessional company and their owner/management doesn’t care about your event and will most likely cancel before it. They don’t care to learn their consumers name and reach out in a professional manner. Can’t even send a menu or itemized bill of service. If you want no parking for your guests and to have only wraps at your party this is the place for you. If not I suggest you stay clear because you can find a WAY BETTER location and a better business to give your money too. It’s 2023 and we don’t spend money on companies that don’t treat their customers right. They give a bad name to...
Read moreHappened upon this place while looking for a cafe in Hagerstown. Almost missed it, as it is along a section of street that is currently getting a face-lift! Entered in to discover that they just opened earlier this month and are still in the process of finishing the main dining room. They did have some seating available but it was like-spring weather so we opted to take it to go. The employees were so friendly and helpful and the service was quick. We really enjoyed the food! I got the Gibbous sandwich with coleslaw and my beau got the turkey noodle soup special with the ham and swiss. The Gibbous was an excellent and unique take on roast beef with the fresh onion and banana peppers, plus their special mayo. Quite delicious! I'm excited to see them grow. The interior is looking great, so I'm excited to see the dining room when it opens. Lovely place!! Highly recommend. Little side note, they are waiting on their payment processor so they are gonna be cash only for another week or so, I guess early March they will begin to take...
