This grill is the real deal, and the place to go to after a ride on the C&O Canal towpath. The establishment has bike racks outside, and the locals are very accepting and willing to strike up a conversation. The food is outstanding, made better by the outstanding service! Sue and Kristy were there, serving a pretty full bar and a couple of tables. They were the best!! If in town, or traveling on I-81 or I-70, it's worth driving a couple of miles.

Stopped in here after hiking on the C&O Canal towpath. It's a no frills joint. Kind of a throwback to little bar/pubs that used to be a part of every town. We ate at the bar, ordered the C&O fish sandwich because ya know, seemed appropriate. The sandwich was good. They have a great beer selection, including area craft beers. In case you are up for it, there's a pool table.

Food is really good, fresh, made to order and affordable. Selection of craft beers surprisingly good too. Chicken wrap, not frozen burger and fresh cut French fries are worth the walk or bike from C&O canal path. Don’t judge this book by its cover. Bathrooms were clean too.

This is exactly what we were looking for! My wife and I were looking for a local place. This place is phenomenal. Local neighborhood bar and grill. 1/2 pound burgers, wings, sandwiches, and great friendly service. (And you can talk to the chef as she cooks). Nothing on tap but hey, I don't have a tap at home either. I'm only sorry I missed seeing the IC Light in the cooler. However, the local "Glolden" was great. A great ride on the C&O canal was topped off by lunch here. Next time the destination will be this place and the bike ride a side note...if I decide to ride. I could sit here all day and watch the Game Show...

The people are welcoming and wonderfully nice, but I can't recommend it to bikers on the C&O canal that are trying to maintain any kind of schedule. We ordered a burger and fish sandwich. At 30 minutes we were apologized to for the delay. At 45 minutes our order was retaken, the first lost in the computer. Another 40 minutes later we finally got the food. She gave it to us gratis, but killing an hour and 45 minutes meant we had to ride hard for 35 miles to get into Harpers Ferry before dark, which we...
