Happened upon a Groupon deal for a โCouples Massage for $99โ at Balanced Life Massage in my email. Figured Iโd call and see what it was about. Was looking to book for today, Friday, and was at first told that the Groupon isnโt honored on Fridays, bummer, but then heard someone speaking in the background and then the receptionist said they would honor it. Great! So booked it and have to admit that I was skeptical because $99 for a couplesโ m is a good deal. Had an appointment for 12pm, my husband and I were running behind due to some work commitments and was afraid weโd have to reschedule or cancel, called them and they have us extra time to arrive! Great again!! So we arrive to the new location, which they had advised us about several times and they are still in transition from previous storefront. Itโs ok because once inside, the inside is set up like spa. Itโs clean, smells good, etc. The massages were EXCELLENT! My masseuse was Matt and he was great. My husband was with a female masseuse and he said she was great too!! The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the noise level of the place. You could hear other customers/employees talking and doors sliding open and shut the whole time, which is unfortunate because the massages are top notch, we loved it! The noise can distract from the relaxation of the experience. Hopefully, as they settle in to the new space that will be dealt with. We would definitely go back and also recommend it to others. PS: We lucked out about being able to arrive a little late because they happened to not have another appointment directly after ours. Let's start with making and appointment is less than desirable considering you have to setup an online account and select their availability from there, oh and if you need any type of assistance with the unfriendly user app good luck with getting someone on the phone because they only talk via text. Now, next problem when I finally get an appointment and arrive on location 15minutes early the door is locked and there is a sign stating if you have an appointment someone will be with you. Well maybe someone forgot about my appointment because one customer came out but 35mintes later no one ever came out to get me. So I called the number on the business card to no answer BUT someone did text me a few hours later asking how could they help me (so you knew I was there waiting in the hallway). I professionally replied (with a piece of my mind) and never heard/got a response, just like I never got serviced. Ok, moving on to the next issue..the buyback. So a groupon was purchased for me as a bday gift to this place and when i gave this info at the time of my appt the person told me I could only use it on certain days and if I wanted to use it any other time I would have to pay an additional fee and they even suggested that I sell the Groupon back to groupon! ย ย ย Read moreWe got a gift to get a couples massage for our wedding for my wife and I , we called to book were on the phone for an hour booking with the owner Jermaine , received a call from Christine to say he didnโt book our appointment properly and that she had to change it , only to arrive to unfriendly faces , and again said we came at the wrong time we paid extra to receive a 90 minute massage to only receive an hour , our package was supposed to include wine and aromatherapy , didnโt receive any of it , the room was cold the massage oil was freezing , the music kept shutting off , so unprofessional and unorganized . Above all I just hope the next person reads the reviews and stays clear away from the unprofessional establishment!! If your thinking of giving a package from here as a gift to someone please do not !!!

You are replying to our incident review of over 3 years ago now? Unfortunately even in our business, clients that were here over (3) three years ago would be hard to keep track of. But thank you for your NOT prompt response. However we did unfortunately experience a not so good experience at A BALANCED LIFE MASSAGE. Again our experience was over (3) thee years ago so please do not take our experience from back in the fall of 2019 to mean the same. We are as of their response to our initial review in the fall of 2022. The funny thing is we both (my wife & I) remember this incident clearly.
