Star Nail Salon — Local services in Wilmington

My manicure has been peeling since day 2. I've been coming here for almost a year now and I finally can't bite my tongue any longer while I pay full price, but receive horrible quality nails. Every time I've come here, I was rushed. I usually get gel polish(i was told they no longer offer regular polish)which is hardened/dried by a UV lamp. I've been reassured that my nails were dry even when I told them I don't think I sat under the lamp long enough. Every time the polish started to peel the very same day- 2 days later. I pay over $50 for gel polish that has peeled off literally every time I've gone here. It's a total waste of my money. Please note that I do not do anything with my hands that would cause the gel polish to peel. Literally nothing beyond washing my hands. I was also highly disappointed with my Pedicure a few months ago. It was thick, the shape was crooked and it had clumps. It was nearly impossible for me to soak the acrylic off. Thats the one and only time I've gotten my feet done there. thats how terrible it was. I always call to book an appointment in advance, but I always end up waiting well into my scheduled appointment time. The employees here either don't engage in any friendly conversation/don't greet you or they crack inappropriate jokes. The woman at the front always greets me but the person doing my nails usually doesn't even say hi. They just start working on my nails. I've continued to come here because its conveniently located less than 10mins from my home. I guess I have to drive further for good quality...

I came in on a Saturday there was no one waiting, although all the employees were busy. The woman at the front told me to pick a color and wait. I waited for over an hour while five other women were served before me. At first I thought they were waiting for a pedicure chair to open up but that didn't seem to be the case. One woman did have an appointment, but I don't think the others did. I tried to get someone's attention after I'd been waiting for 45 minutes and they moved me to a pedicure chair at the same time as two other women but then they started working on the two other women before me. After an hour was up, I got up to leave and the only response was a sarcastic "sorry we're busy!"

If all those women actually did have appointments, they should have warned me up front that there would be a long wait instead of making it seem like I would be served soon, and then again moving me to a pedicure chair and just leaving me there while they worked on other customers who had...

Just walked into star nails to get my nails done I'm very disappointed the girl at the front named Jesse was wearing a cream colored lace dress was so nonchalant when I asked about getting my nails done she said "go pick your color rudely " I turned around looking for a hot pink color not seeing it I turned around and asked Jesse hey do you have hot pink "she said of course we do" so I said OK I don't see it she comes around the counter looks and hands me a neon pink polish I said no that's not hot pink hot pink is darker so she shrugs her shoulders saying so I don't know whatever that's what we have 😳 I'm completely shocked I wasn't expecting to be treated like that is definitely not at this nail salon my previous experience there was very nice so that's why I drove from Claymont Delaware all the way into Wilmington just to get my nails done because I figured they would be polite very nice and well accommodating and it would be a...
