Los Portales Supermarket — Attraction in Wilmington

Very friendly & helpful & well organized. It's not the biggest grocery store & they were fairly busy but the flow of how the employees worked together made it so there was no wait or confusion. It was well stocked, & exceptionally clean & organized & they had the coolest stuff like piggy banks that were all different sizes shapes & colors & you could tell right away it was one of those places you could spend forever looking over everything they had but it wasn't like the places you go where it's cluttered & overwhelming when you walk in. The prices were more then reasonable too. I was looking around at everything & everyone one & my first thought was I wish all businesses (especially grocery stores) were like this. But if I had to choose the one thing that was the most impressive was just how clean & organized it was. I live on the Island & if they had a location there it would be my instant go to store. I wouldn't just give them 10 stars if I could, I create their own personal rating system lol. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend stopping in & checking it out regardless of if you needed to stop at a store or not. It's rare for me to be completely taken aback by any business but I definitely am with this particular one. I can't wait to get back to Wilmington for the day & go back & really get to see all the cool...

Made my usual large Thanksgiving order of tamales. We were very specific when requesting pork tamales. Upon arriving I noticed we got ALL CHICKEN tamales. (We have people that don’t eat chicken) We immediately called the business to make them aware of the mistake before they closed as these were for dinner. The lady admitted to it being their fault, said they didn’t have any pork left. We were an hour away from the store! No way we could even make it back in time and she was requesting we bring them back before closing for a refund. No accommodations No apologies. We had to throw more than $70 in the trash!...

Love their bread. Lately since they have hired only females to run register, well it’s gotten worse, they act arrogant. They don’t have a set schedule when fresh bread will be served so they will serve you old hard bread at regular price. When they had men working register they were so sweet. These ladies have literally invited others to jump me in line when they saw me standing a while. Service is terrible even the bakers who are ladies act arrogant. Bread good when fresh the attendants no good. And don’t get me started on parking lot it’s an accident...
