Not too many tech professionals would take on a project to basically improve on someone elseās prior mediocre work. But Paul/Tech Pro Repair did exactly that, and was the consummate, detail-oriented, punctual, reasonably-priced Tech Pro(sessional).
I initially contacted 3 different vendors and sent them the same, exact job needs: 1 replacement camera, 1 new install camera (preferably with Power-over-Ethernet, to minimize the wires across my attic), an upgrade on my 8-channel analog DVR to a 16-channel hybrid version (to allow for the analog and digital cameras seamlessly functioning on the same system), and fixing a former installerās work in mounting a monitor that ended up being less than expected and an annoyance. Paul was the first and most reasonable of those that responded.
Paul and I set on 1 of the proposed quotes, and set a date within days. He said heād come at 9am. He came at 9:01 am. He estimated a 3-5 hour job. It easily couldāve been a 3 hour job (or shorter), but Paul is a perfectionist, took the time to answer all my curious and annoying questions, explaining why things were happening as they were happening, and then went beyond each specific job to make the wiring, set-up, and all the associated set-ups even better than they were when someone else tried doing the job before. He fixed the wire pasta jungles that I had at several places in my house, zip-tying and organizing it all, unscrewing and re-screwing in-wall cabling, power sources, and overall flow of the hardware, accessories, and software. He really did leave each area he worked on better, more organized, and fixed little things that were annoying us for months or years. And he did not take any break at all in the 4 hours, and didn't even accept a bottle of water because he was focused on completing the best job possible.
In addition to all the hardware and accessories that we agreed to, Paul came prepared with all kinds of supplies, connectors, power cords, HDMI cables, and the like that we unexpectedly needed. He never made it awkward when some of these had to be used because we didnāt have any at home, and since these were not part of the original job and quote. Iāve worked with other āexpertsā who end up having to pause the job just to get missing supplies that they probably should have always had. Not Paul/Tech Pro Repair.
Paul troubleshot an annoying Power-over-Ethernet lack of connection, noting that a misgrounded power cord that we had always used was the source of the issue. He explained why he had to log into the phone app first, and then showed me when he deleted the entire login, so that I could be the primary camera accessor and āsharerā. It was a complete collaboration the entire 4 hours. And a truly pleasant experience.
When it came to payment, there were no surprises, even though Paul certainly could have penny-pinched for all the extra supplies and time he had to invest in the original job, and the extended work he sensed I truly wanted and needed help with.
Itās not often you find an honest, literal Tech Pro that is focused on the quality, expediency, and look of the job at hand, while doing so with a speed and skill that is becoming way-too-rare these days. Paulās been in the business for 15+ years and it shows. He also has a storefront that collaborates with the video camera side of the business, and Iām so glad for that. He is a true professional that I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending to anyone for any tech-related work that Paul knows how to do. And if he doesn't do something, he'll tell you. Iām certain you will love his work, his professionalism, his reasonable pricing, and his partnership on the work you need (and probably the work youāre too afraid to...

I don't have bugs 2. Water has never been near my console and 3. before I brought in my PS5 It would boot up normally blue light then white light, after picking it up it just beeps and there's no light. im 100% convinced he broke my system worse and he made extra work for the next repair guy. Tldr; IF YOU HAVE A PLAYSTATION 5 OR OTHER DEVICE THAT NEEDS REPAIR PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SHOP, HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING AND WILL BREAK YOUR STUFF WORSE THAN WHEN IT...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePaul is the owner and expert technician of Tech Pro Repair. On a Sunday am while my laptop displayed the black screen I contacted Tech Pro Repair, which is opened on Sunday. Paul had availability in his very busy schedule. I went to his shop and he diagnosed my laptop right away. He attempted to fix the black screen without having to re-image my laptop but no luck. He pulled my hard drive and connected it to a desktop in order to transfer important files I needed to keep. He then re-imaged it and transferred my files back on the re-formatted hard drive. Being in IT myself I can tell you that Paul truly knows his work. Last but not least, he is honest and only charges for what needs to be done and what he does. I would refer anyone to Tech Pro Repair. Thank you so...
