What can I say except we love this place. I've owned and operated two breakfast and lunch places down here and have also eaten at many within a 50-mile radius. This simple little what might be called a "hole in the wall" ( but very clean!) place not only has delicious, affordable food, but some of the friendliest staff and owners that we've ever experienced. This is about our third time eating here recently, the food was great, the servers wonderful and beyond pleasant and accommodating. I admit that when I had my places I could be a bit cranky, as this is not an easy business, but this place always seems so positive and wonderful. This is the second time I've had a Greek omelette there, with fresh spinach!, and my partner had the breakfast burrito and the food was great. And not to mention that it's nice to go out and have two great breakfasts, both with coffee, for less than $30 for the both of us. All too often when we eat out at other places it is much more $, and for mediocre food and service at that. I admit to having a pet peeve with servers who act like they're slumming and couldn't be less interested in giving you actual service. ( Uhhh... you're working for tips...HELLO???!) I have ultimate respect for good service people and that is what you will find here. Also, it is becoming increasingly more difficult in this world to find a mom and pop type place that isn't just another boring chain place, and here's hoping The Over Easy Cafe is here for a long time. They seem to have many long-term regulars and I can see why. We just may have to move closer to this place so we can eat here more often. 😁 I give them an A+ /FIVE 🌟 all the way...
Read moreMy mother and I tried to go there for lunch today. I had my service dog with me and they said he had to be on the floor. The laws of the ADA does not specify this as my dog is small and has to be near me to detect an oncoming issue. I told them I would bring in his buggy so he wouldn’t be on the floor, despite that they were INCREDIBLY rude. I simply try to explain what the law is, but I was also compromising by having him in a buggy. Waitress then came up and said that his buggy had to be closed. After several attempts to compromise, they were being so awful. We left as the extremely obnoxious man behind the counter didn’t stop being rude. I am glad we left. The place was very dirty and the floor was disgusting. My service dog is way cleaner than that place will ever be. I could not believe how awful these people were. I have all the legal paperwork that I carry with me to provide when there are issues. I know we do not need to show them but I have them on me all the time. I am reporting them to my advisors at the ADA as they completely disregarded my rights. I would NEVER go back to such a horrible staff and people who do not care about...
Read moreOkay let's start with the food The country fried steak was the most processed piece of meat I've ever tried to eat in my life The grits were cold My wife's eggs were also undercooked her corned beef hash with some weird mashed potato with meat kind of thing and were cold in the hash browns were basically burnt greasy potatoes Now we get to the atmosphere everybody was screaming at each other and rushing around trying to close the restaurant it was 1 hour before scheduled closing One employee kept screaming I already told you I turned the waffle maker off now it's off Then a man came in and sat down they locked the door behind him he obviously wanted a waffle so they weren't going to make him one he decided to leave he couldn't get out after they let him out the employee said loudly he can go to the waffle House and lock the door again Oh yeah I went there because channel 10 gave them the clean plate award for passing inspections so the place was really clean and the server was prompt and attentive but the food is horrible in the atmosphere...
