Update June 27, 2025. After a somewhat contentious conversation on JB's fb messenger he finally sent us two puzzles. So now after over a year we have received a total of 6 out of the 12 puzzles we ordered. I am again attempting to contact JB via both his Wimberly Business online chat forum and also his personal fb messenger. So far.......crickets. to say I'm disappointed is a under statement of how he has failed to fulfill our 12 month subscription that I paid up front for. This makes me extremely hesitant to support small businesses that are in a different state from where I live.
May 2024 I subscribed to (JB Manning owner of Wimberly Puzzle company) his puzzle a month club for 12 months. I paid over $700. My first puzzle was received shortly after, sometime in June 2024. Then I thought the next puzzle should arrive in July but it didn't. I contacted Wimberly Puzzle Company on their chat line and nothing. Eventually I received the 2nd of 12 puzzles in August. So I assumed the next puzzle (3 of 12) would arrive in September. But when none arrived I reached out to him again. And he responded that he had moved but was working on my next puzzle. Sometime in October I received my 3rd puzzle (3 of 12). Then nothing in November and when I reached out to him he eventually replied stating that he had some issues and was waiting on ink orders. Then early January 2025 finally received puzzle number 4 of 12. Since then I have tried numerous ways to reach JB Manning via his company chat feature, text message, phone call and Facebook messenger. Finally out of frustration I posted a comment on JB Manning personal Facebook post. That got his attention in a negative way. He told me not to post on his personal page and via messenger he said he was working on getting me caught up. So I will post another update to this review whether I receive another puzzle or not. Read moreUPDATE EDIT: I received 3 gorgeous puzzles including a large one for free and a nice apology letter, so the service is fulfilled. I do want to emphasize there are no complaints with the puzzles themselves, so I am adding a star back. This is really a one-of-a-kind company and the puzzles are unique. I hope they'll be around for a long time to come.
This review is being edited to remove two stars for delivery and communication issues on Wimberley's Puzzle of the Month Subscription service. I was really impressed with my first order from this company, so I purchased a 3-month puzzle club subscription in early April 2023. It took me several unanswered emails and finally a chat message before anyone responded and I got my first puzzle in June. Nothing since then even though in July I again reached out and got a response they'd look into it. So from April to August I've received 1 puzzle out of the 3-month Puzzle Club membership I purchased. I reached out again recently, no response. I'm really disappointed. I love the puzzles I have received, but the service itself isn't a good experience...
Read moreI ordered a 1000 piece bluebonnet puzzle on December 7th and my credit card was charged on December 9th. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and the website says orders are usually ready to ship in 2 to 3 days, with an email confirmation sent at shipping. After 10 days, with Christmas approaching, and still no contact from the company, I sent an email asking for the anticipated shipping date. No response. Three more emails and 2 chats went unanswered. Christmas came and went, and still nothing. I do understand that this is a busy time of year but if you run a legitimate business, responding to customers should be a priority. Taking money and not fulfilling your obligation is thievery. If I could give zero stars, I would. At the end of the day, you are only as good as your word.
