Cabins on the Square — Hotel in Wimberley

We booked the Tranquility Suite for our daughters birthday weekend during COVID-19. We received instructions on how to get into our room several days advance so no issue with communication prior to our arrival. Upon our arrival we go into our room and it is not as the websites pictures represent. It is rather dark and has bare (Maybe Polished?) concrete floors not wood floors as the pictures on the website represent and the bathroom is different. My wife typically does a "Clean Inspection" and noted that it was rather dusty but no big deal. She pulled back the sheet and the sheet had multiples pieces of human hair throughout it on one of the beds. I called the number listed with no response so I texted and sent an email to the owners. We walked across the street to get dinner and the owner said they were looking for someone to change the sheets. She then said they had someone headed that way and texted "Ok, we are changing out washing/dryers, and have had to use the laundry mat.. so there ya go". The owner later apologized for the snarky remark. We told them we would not be staying at their facility. The owner never offered a refund or any concessions. The cabins certainly have a one of a kind view that is for sure. But the pictures of the rooms misrepresent the place, definitely have cleaning and management issues as well.

We're a group of seven women who travel together all around Texas. We had SO MUCH FUN in Wimberly and Cabins on the Square was a great spot. We rented the whole property and used the Main House for meals, crafts, and hanging out.

The multiple gathering spots outdoors were fabulous. We spent a lot of time just chatting around the fire pit and in the chairs overlooking the water. The beds, linens and towels were TOP NOTCH! The motion-triggered lights on the stairway to the loft are a thoughtful safety feature. The all-in-one oven was a great substitute for a full oven. We didn’t need the warmer or fry-pan, but together those appliances were sufficient for any kind of vacation cooking So many thoughtful touches -- small fans for background noise, plenty of kitchen towels in the main house, lots of tourism-related magazines and materials, ample dishes And, the place is right on the square, with all the shops, eateries and drink spots within an easy...

Incredible experience! I booked a two-night staycation very last minute. Their team was very responsive to my questions while booking and they were extremely accommodating. The cabin was ultra clean with the temperature perfectly set upon arrival. With the beautiful water views it was nice to relax in the adirondack chairs. Literally steps from the very walkable Wimberly Square, I was able to explore all the shops and restaurants with ease. Meeting the owners of this establishment was probably the best part of the stay. Learning their history and vision for the place really showed me why this place is magical. I will 100% coming back for more staycations....
