This museum is a real hidden treasure, and worth the time to visit. Concentrating on Humboldt County and Winnemucca history, it is a snapshot of the old west, and the tough people who settled it. You will find such diverse things as prehistoric fossils, local Basque culture (one of my favorites), Native American History, and antique autos and farm equipment. There is also an original small chapel that has been moved to the site, and a replica mercantile store and home from the past, with many interesting items from the past.
