I went in today to order some food to go and I definitely recall ordering Chicken enchiladas with rice and beans I was pretty certain that is what I ordered when I got to the hotel across the street Econolodge. I open my order and I noticed that I got chicken Quesadilla with a side of rice and beans instead of my chicken enchiladas also ask the waiter of the excessive charges that I received on my bill but I failed to notice that I got billed for chicken quesadilla instead of chicken enchiladas I was sitting by the bar, which is the lighting is not very lit area. It is dark atmosphere I contacted the restaurant and I said I ordered chicken enchiladas instead of chicken quesadillas and the lady very rudely said no you ordered chicken quesadillas with a side of rice and beans. She also said I have the recording of you making your order not to mention that I was not advised that I am being recorded, which is completely illegal. Imagine you’re eating food speaking to your family member about things and this restaurant records your conversations how illegal is that? I say very illegal. Why should they be recording Orders and why should they be recording your conversations? Please be aware. I find it very disturbing that a restaurant records, your voice and your conversations. I find that very odd. I think what I will do is I will contact some city officials in the...
Read moreBEWARE! The prices on the menu are not what they actually charge you. They charge you at least $1 more per item including the Coke, than the menu price shows. When I asked them why, they said it was because I paid with a credit card and there's a surcharge per item to use a credit card. Which is bullshit. This is called fraudulent business practices, these people are dishonest, and they will steal from you. Do not eat here. If you do make sure you check your prices. It's a damn shame when businesses are so dishonest they try to steal from every single customer that walks in the door. I do not do business with liars and cheats and people who steal from me, so it's up to you to decide whether you want to come in here or not. But beware if you do.
On a separate note the food quality wasn't that great. I ordered carne asada fries, and they were cold. I also ordered the crawfish jambalaya, and I did not see a single crawfish in that entire plate of rice they serve me. It also tasted very strongly of tomato sauce, not Cajun but Italian. So it wasn't that great and it sure wasn't worth the 18.95 they charged me for it even though the menu said it was...
Read moreYet another place that makes me wish the rating was in increments of half stars.
Ordered the Salmon Steak, which was cooked flawlessly, crispy skin, vegetables were cooked well, potatoes from scratch it seems, sauce seems to be composed of a mayo/cream, pickle bits and the pickle juice.
Ordered the Ribeye (Mid Rare); which looked promising both in menu and in person; vegetables and potatoes / gravy were great. I sliced into the steak and it was not cooked whatsoever, as in the center was cold. It appears it was previously frozen or maybe came from the fridge and slapped on the grill.
Here's where the place shines; the costumer service was Impeccable, they had two waitresses running back and forth STEADILY.
They replaced my steak with a burger which wasn't a fresh handmade patty, but it was still pretty good
I also had a Pomegranate Moscow Mule which was pretty big for a 10 dollar drink, it was also pretty strong whilst being able to be drunk easily
The women's bathroom was clean, men's was decent at best, had a urinal directly across from the toilet which wasn't maintained the best/ had floor...
