Do not play here unless you want to be ripped off and lied to just like the other review that was posted on yelp||||I play allot of craps and played $300 on the don’t pass at this casino on Thursday August the 28th.||||A point number was established and several rolls thereafter. Then the fifteen was rolled after the point and the dealer took my bet, which he should not have done. The only way I would have lost is if the point number 8 would have come up again. If a seven was rolled, I would have won and I would have had an option to pull my bet down before any other roll. Instead, a 15 came 3 rolls and the Dealer took my bet of which I called him out on it and another players money was taken as well. ||||The pit boss backed him up the dealer without even looking at the camera and gave me a business card to their games manager who conveniently happened not to be there that night on a Friday before Labor Day weekend. ||||I told gaming manager I was going to call the gaming board and file a complaint of which I have done. ||This was on a Thursday over 2 weeks ago. I spoke to the gaming investigator who was their the following Tuesday to review the tapes of my complaint and assured me that he would get back to me right away. I asked again via email about 4 days ago, well? ||What did the tapes reveal? ||My answer was” well I have ten other cases to work on as well as your I will get back to you.” ||Since I did not hear back as promised I am going to escalate it to the gaming boards head office “his Boss” the DOJ and the FTC to investigate since they are conveniently trying to sweep this under the carpet. That is not going to happen.|| I did call the manager on the 29th who also promised to get back to me after the Nevada gaming board reviewed the tapes. Instead, I received a call on September 1rst a Holiday from her manager who argued the point and then told me flat out, that he did not really understand craps well. Are you kidding me? Pure harassment I have a log of his phone call time and number.||It is bad that the odds are not in your favor on any game but when you get a call like that from someone who is the gaming manager’s boss that teeters on fraud and definably harassment. I did let him know he could stuff it where the sun does not shine and that he will regret his decision when the heat gets turned up and I am turning up the heat.||||Monday my complaints go out to all three entities mentioned and I will be speaking to a lawyer on this matter as well as senior abuse and harassment and go on the offensive, no...
Read moreThis was a stopover place going to and from another place, and I have to say that I was quite pleased with the cleanliness of the entire place. The first thing you see when entering is a very large room full of gambling machines. It's loud of course, so if you're sensitive to sound bring your ear plugs. I was disappointed to discover the machines did not take cash (only tokens). I had a handful of change and hoped to drop my nickel, dime, and quarter into a couple of machines and see if I could win a few coins. It seemed a popular place but was not overcrowded. If I were to gamble, I would have had a large choice of games to choose from without waiting. But my interest was really in the restaurant.
Strangely, even though the casino was smokey, I never noticed any smokiness in the dining area - which is remarkable considering that the walls separating these areas were completely open from about waist high to ceiling. And continuing this trend of surprises was that the loudness of the casino did not seem to overwhelm the restaurant. We had the same server both times we came through and she was incredible! I think her name was Jennifer, but I am not sure. She was very friendly, helpful, made recommendations based on my interests, and when I came back through 2 weeks later, she even remembered what I had ordered the first time through! I could go on endlessly about how great she was! The food was fabulous and the prices exceptionally good! The menu seemed like it had sufficient variety that anyone could eat there.
In addition to all this, I am happy to report they had a super clean restroom. This is always a good sign that they care about their business, care about cleanliness and customer's impressions, and I use the restroom as my meter for how clean the kitchen is likely to be. I'm sure their kitchen was immaculate. The restroom was not just clean, but well stocked with everything a restroom should have.
Parking was exceptionally easy. I also would judge this entire place (from what I was able to see) is handicapped accessible. Passing through every area is a breeze for someone with or without mobility issues...lots of space between gambling machines, space between dining tables, easy access to handicapped...
Read moreThese people are horrible! My fiance and I contacted Winners Hotel and Casino and made plans to have our wedding reception there this June and everything was in place and they promised the reception was going to be amazing and they were going to do everything to make it special for us. Well I was waiting for them to call me with prices for food and everything and when a few weeks went by and I hadnt heard anything I called them to see what was going on and they tell me "Oh Im sorry we tore down the wall of the lounge and you cant have your wedding reception here anymore". They never called to tell me anything and apologize, abosolutely nothing! The guy Herb told me that Leslie Deach was supposed to call me and tell me what was going on but she never did. He had even asked her if she had called me and she lied to him and told him she had. Winnemucca is such a small town they were the last place besides the convention center, which is really expensive, that was available. We had actually had the convention center reserved for the reception but when we met with the casino we canceled with the convention center. Herb Roth however, after learning what was going on with us and the casino, went to the convention center and explained to them what was going on and rebooked the convention center for us which was very nice of him and I really appreciate that. Leslie Deach told us they would still cater the reception for us however she tried charging us full price for the food!!! You would think after everything they put us through they would give us some kind of deal but NOPE!!! I was just looking at their website and I see that they made Leslie Deach director of food, beverage, and entertainment and removed Herb Roth. Good luck with that!! She is a horrible, aweful woman. They should bring back Herb! In conlusion....this casino almost ruined my wedding day!!! Thankfully we were able to make other plans & find another place to cater the wedding. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL & CASINO TO ANYONE AND I HOPE MY STORY WILL MAKE A...
