I was headed out to my aunt's funeral out in middle-of-nowhere Winnemucca. First solo trip EVER (I'm middle-aged, so it was a big deal to me).
I didn't want to stay anywhere with a casino, so that eliminated a few places. I booked this place and figured I would be there during regular business hours, but got a late start.
While I was on the road, they called me to confirm I would be staying there, and gave an estimated arrival time. The guy that called was very nice. I felt bad that my late departure caused him to have to be there so late/early, depending on your perspective.
I requested a 1st floor room and they came through. I was able to park fairly close to my room on both evenings I stayed there.
The room was perfect. Everything I needed was there. I came across the housekeeping staff and they were very nice.
I needed some time by myself, away from the family and friends, to collect my thoughts. This room I was in was just right. I didn't hear anything outside once I turned the fan on. It was a very uneventful trip. I have no complaints about staying here, and will gladly come and stay again next time I go to Winnemucca.
This was a very nice place to stay for having a two-star rating.
I have a nephew that just turned 5 and is into bathroom humor. I took a photo of the buttons you push to flush the toilet and he was delighted! See photo attached. Days Inn appears to be efficient and not wasteful.
If you are sitting on the fence about staying here, I say go for it. There's not a restaurant or casino or room service. This place is nothing fancy, but I didn't need fancy. Just the basics and a clean place to...
Read moreI am writing this letter to formally lodge a complaint against the level of customer service I recently experienced from your company, Days Inn Winnemucca. I believe it is essential to bring to your attention the disappointing interaction I had with your customer service team on 8/21/2023
On the aforementioned date, I contacted your customer service department via phone to address an issue I was facing with a unauthorized chard on my payment method. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I felt compelled to share my concerns with you.
The issues I encountered during this interaction include: Being accused of breaking a tv that we had reported as not working.
The customer service representative I spoke with demonstrated a lack of professionalism and did not appear to have a clear understanding of my concern. Their tone was unhelpful and dismissive, which left me feeling frustrated and unheard.
Despite explaining the issue in detail, the representative was unable to offer a viable solution or provide any meaningful assistance. This left me without a resolution to my problem and further escalated my frustration.
As of this moment there is no resolution to...
Read moreRoom was rather small but did supply all our needs. It was clean and in good repair, with a comfy bed, decent pillows, easy-to-access charging outlets, a small round table and chair, a nice side chair. Getting both chairs to places by the table took some furniture moving, however. There was hardly room for all that! The breakfast offered the next morning was weak on protein and heavy on starches. Milk was the only thing available without added sugar. That and sweetened yogurt were it for the protein dept. Otherwise it was bagels, sweetened cold cereal, instant oatmeal (none plain, all with sugar), waffles (the machine was there but I didn't see any batter anywhere), fresh fruits. Butter, jam and pancake syrup were available. Notably absent were the usual scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon found at so many hotels. Cheap of them in my opinion. I know for a fact that the Econolodge (an older, refurbished motel up the street) offers all that for...
