This place looks like it may be a local favorite. When I went there to eat a little after 11 a.m., it was packed and I could barely find a place to park. It is on the main drag in Winnemucca so, if you are traveling, it is easy to find when you get off the freeway. Just keep going straight down Winnemucca Boulevard. The interior of the restaurant is done in wood paneling and period lamps, many of them featuring stained glass. It is a pleasant environment, though I did not find the chairs particularly comfortable on my bad back. Will try a booth next time. There are two dining rooms, plus outdoor dining, so there appears to be plenty of seating. The Griddle is only open until 2 p.m. everyday. They specialize in breakfast and lunch and give you both menus to peruse. There is a wide selection of breakfast foods, of course, including waffles, French toast, pancakes, and all manner of eggs and omelettes. They also have burgers and salads. They even have some interesting looking things like Benedictine on crab cakes. They also make many of their items, including the blueberry muffins, from scratch. Unfortunately, there are no vegan options in this place (well, maybe a salad) & no meat substitutes, such as veggie burger. I ordered an omelette with spinach, feta cheese, and tomatoes. It came with hash browns and an option of seven different kinds of bread. I went with the cinnamon raisin bread. How often do you get that at a restaurant? The slices were very small but it was a nice change. The omelet and hash browns were also delicious, though I felt the omelet was missing something. The service at this restaurant was very nice. A waitress who was not even on my table noticed I was out of water and brought me a fresh (and larger) glass. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for most people. I took off one star for the lack of vegetarian options. Other than that, I found this place highly satisfactory for a small town.

I'm certain that my praise for this establishment is not needed... Still... Here yah go. To those that know this place... You know the gem that this place is. To those that have not yet experienced this establishment, what are you waiting for? This establishment offers 99% of all the great things an eating establishment can offer (as to the one percent later). A simple note at the beginning... this establishment seems very well connected to the community it serves and seems supportive of activities that impact it's community (we noted an opportunity to donate to a local charity). Well done! Ambiance and physical structure... Clean, cozy, inviting, well maintained and appointed, and roomy where needed with good traffic flow. Staff... Amazing! Polite, professional while still being relaxed, informed, and close enough to address any concerns and needs one may have, without the offense of over engagement. The other noted performance highlight is that the wait staff acts in concert helping each other and addressing customer needs, irregardless of who's table it might be. Food... OMG... Taste, quality and freshness of ingredients, and presentation are top of the line!!! We had our items off the breakfast menu. We were not disappointed... It wasn't even close! Chilaquiles and red velvet hash - fresh, appropriately seasoned, and simply delicious! Don't pass on the opportunity to try the fresh made jellies! The coffee was great to the point that we bought an additional pound to take with us. In short (or long) don't miss an opportunity too experience this adventure! As for the 1%... The sourdough toast and homemade jellies were amazing (strawberry and mango!!!!), Please, please, please... Don't serve me dry toast, butter my toast when it's served (or at least ask if we'd like it buttered). We will definitely tell others and this great experience, and we will be back!! Thank you for your efforts!

Traveling back home from California to Washington, we stopped at the Griddle. Walking in, my fiance and I were already enticed by the atmosphere. The place was busy but functionally so, with almost all members of the staff walking around with a smile. The decor of stained glass pieces and hanging plants made for a very homey and comforting vibe. Vanessa was our server and she was incredibly attentive and helpful. They were out of milk substitutions, so when I ordered my coffee and wanted oat milk, she had recommended a place across the street that serves coffee to grab something on our way out. With nine more hours to go of driving I was incredibly grateful. It was incredibly difficult to choose as all the menu items looked delicious and seeing the different plates sent out made it even harder. We ordered the savory crepe and the carribbean french toast and we were not disappointed. 10/10 would recommend this place for a delicious breakfast!

This was our second time eating there. We travel through Winnemucca every 6-8 weeks. I think it will be our go to place to eat. The wait staff is the main reason I say this. They are super eager to make sure everything is perfect. Sadly, it's not open later in the day! I really like their fries. On this visit, I ordered my burger, for my party melt, well done. It came out pink in the middle and the juices were still bloody. The waitress noticed right away, before she even got it to our table. She returned it to be cooked properly. Another staff brought it back within a minute. It looked like the cook had turned the sandwich on it's side and just grilled the pink area. Our waitress came back as soon as she noticed it had been returned to me, to check if it was ok. Based on our conversation, she went to the manager (without me asking) to request a discount. As we were finishing, she noticed that I left the inside part of the burger on my plate and offered to comp the cost of my meal. I refused, souly because she was so helpful and concerned for my dining experience. I took the manager's $2 discount, though. She insisted on buying us a cinnamon roll, as more comp for the meal. They are huge and made fresh...
