If I can give a zero star, that is exactly what I would give I am 43 and in my life have I ever had such bad experience in a hospital. Disrespectful the nurses disrespectful the security disrespectful. I arrived to that hospital in severe severe severe pain pain that Iâve never had in my life so I was a little loud but it loud and a pain scream type of pain. I donât know if I can explain myself. I usually am not a yeller, but I guess the pain was taking over my body. I was told various times that. I needed to calm down that I need to stop complaining about my pain and telling them what is wrong with me. I got on the wheelchair and when they moved me from wheelchair to the room, I got the worst and the meanest and the rudest nurse ever. I requested for pain meds. I requested to see a doctor. She says that I needed to wait my turn because I was not the only one in that hospital and that I needed to calm down I for some weird reason had to get on my knees on top of the bed because of the pain, The nurse started to say that I must be on something, but what am I doing that? Why am I acting like this that I must be on some type of drugs or something like that after a while I told her I did not want to see her and I did not wanna have her as my provider then I wanted to see another nurse. She said the door is open and then I could have the choices of leaving. I told her I am in a lot of pain. I donât think I have time to go anywhere else. I need medical assistance right away. I walk out of my room about three times because my stomach was hurting real bad and I had to go to the bathroom. This nurse called security on me saying that I was being very rude and that I was not comply with the hospital rules by walking out of the room, she told the security that I was leaving my room to go to the waiting room to make a show. I explained to the security between my pain that she was lying and the times that I walked out of the room was To go to the restroom. Again, I started asking for a doctor. I could not take this pain anymore. She says that I need to wait just like everybody else then I understand that I was not the only one in that hospital, but I was in a type of pain that I felt like my insights were coming out. She did not care and proceeded again. The door is open. I told her sheâs very disrespectful and that she shouldnât be working as a nurse taking care of others she says that sheâs not disrespectful and though Iâm the one that was being rude, I ended up just removing my gown, putting on my clothes back on and leaving the hospital in excruciating pain And then had to have my husband drive me 18 minutes down the road which 18 minutes is 18 minutes when youâre in horrific pain. We finally arrived to this hospital that Iâm still at four days later when I arrived here, it was night day. Everybody welcome to me paid attention to what was going on with me instead of whatâs my name and all the other stuff that couldâve been asked after immediately went to get a CT scan And discovered not only that I have an obstruction going on but I also had pancreatitis. This is the worst hospital I can ever have been to. It should be closed for being so disrespectful end up caring about patient care first I am just very happy. I love you to be where I am now in this wonderful hospital of Bartow and grateful to be alive because to be honest I probably wouldâve died. Iâve always stayed in that hospital, please donât ever go to...

None the less as in getting ready for discharge âJane â came up to check on my home health care thatâs the only time bedside manner took a turn for the worstâŚshe practically raised her voice due to me not finding within my phone one of the other aides that I used before.. then stated she didnât mean to itâs the fact that you did itâs a MUST you are aware you sit behind the desk and you do the work I have no idea how you go about doing so disrespectful and very demure to take time and explain opposed to raising your voice and getting upset. Call it as you want. I know what I saw that definitely puts a stagger in my return here. Iâve had bad experiences before this go round. It was good down from the nurses until that came to her and like I said, I think she has something to do with coordinating Home Health Aide or Home Healthcare Other than that even down to the cafeteria everybody was very much so kind understanding even with making sure I went home with something opposed to being unable to stay when I get home they were just very helpful and I love love love love, love every one of the nurses that were tentative to what I was in need of they did not miss a beat it, including the technicians Just glad I came here. And my apologies to those nurses and or doctors that came in and I was nodding off. I was not getting sleep during the night here I apologize for that. It...
Read moreI came in because my finger is swollen. Told them I didnât believe it was broken as I can bend it and move it. They STILL did a X-ray. I waited an hr on that even though I overheard the ARNP at the time say she received it already they just hadnât viewed it yet. Yet, when the shift switch nurse came in because I hit the button cause it had been over an hr, she said my âCT scanâ was back but just waiting on the x-ray. I told her I didnât have a CT done, just an x-rayâŚonly to hear the ARNP say âthatâs not the right patientâ⌠then another 30 min goes by. By this time I know they have the X-ray, because I heard it and when I was getting my X-rays done I asked how soon do they send them, and was told give them 10-15 min. Granted this doesnât account for when they view it but after the x-ray was done, I was waiting for an hr ! How, for a finger ? Then, the ARNP comes in and says âyour X-ray came back negative, no breaks or fracturesâ and all I could do was laugh, cause I specifically said it wasnât broken or anything, I just want to know about the swelling. Crazy thing is, she said I may have blown a blood vessel, told me to take Aleve and alternate between hot and cold compresses and discharged me. I sat in that hospital for almost 2 hrs to not be heard, not be checked on during my time there, hearing laughter and more in the back, being told wrong information, overhearing my xray was already back she just didnât view it and then to confirm what I had already said in the beginning. Like, I donât get it. I read my discharge papers and it says something about a finger sprain ! What finger sprain ? I wasnât told anything about having a finger sprain and if I had one, wouldnât they put a splint or something on it ? Right, but no worries, cause I called my insurance after reading the papers to inform them I did not receive a splint and I do not have a finger sprain as this information was not told to me verbatim. I guess other donât read their discharge papers, I do. I went ahead and went to Heart of Florida because next day my entire hand was swollen, and guess what, was treated properly and with proper care. They listened, they didnât do an X-ray and they gave me meds. My hand isnât swollen and I now have a MRI appt coming up. I will NEVER go back to Winter Haven Hospital. Bay Care needs to have someone overseeing whatâs actually going on at this hospital because wasting peopleâs time for nothing, that bed couldâve gone to someone else sooner ! And, to send me off without actually checking everything is diabolical. No way my finger should be swollen and the ARNP be just as confused about what it could be, yet tell me it âmayâ be a busted blood vessel, perform a whole X-ray for said busted blood vessel and then put a lie in my discharge papers! Thatâs insurance fraud. I wasnât treated or told of a sprain at all. I was sent home...
