I can’t rave enough about this salon. This hidden gem growing in Winter Park is down to earth with a pure and positive atmosphere. Good vibes all around and comfort through the roof; I’m over the moon to have found the knowledgeable, relatable, and beautiful artists who make up Nail Alchemy.
Ashley is a phenomenal owner and artist while the other owner, her husband, goes above and beyond to provide quality service from the moment you book your first visit. All of the members who are a part of the Nail Alchemy family feed off of one another’s knowledge, making for a unique experience of open dialogue across all chairs and allowing you to leave the building with a heart that feels just as freshly polished as your nails will be!
Artists of this caliber are rare to find and worth investing your time and resources in if you’re someone who shows self-love by choosing to feel beautiful. Please keep in mind that this is a busy, family owned facility where much care is taken to meet your expectations every single time; that being said, this is not necessarily the salon to walk into assuming they aren’t already fully booked. If you want a specific artist or appointment day/time, make sure you voice that. If you enjoy supporting small businesses or simply enjoy having nails that will have everyone else asking where you go, the only right answer is Nail Alchemy... and my four-year-old agrees.
Never going...
Read moreNo customer service at all. I was referred by a friend who raved about her nails. My first appointment was with Ashley (the owner). I showed up and Rebecca did my nails instead. I paid a lot for dip and pedicure as their prices are higher than your average salon and my nails were terrible. They started peeling and the dip was so uneven. I went back to give them another try. I scheduled an appointment with Ashley again. I received a text from Eddie 40 minutes before my appointment saying that I couldn't get a dip today and offered me other services. I told him that was OK and I would talk to Ashley when I got there. I was then informed that I wouldn't be seeing Ashley and they put me with another technician. I let Eddie know after my appointment that the nail technician was great but I wanted to speak with Ashley regarding my past experiences. He told me sure I could speak to her and asked me for a convenient time. I gave him a time and never heard back. I then texted the following day and advise him that I would be taking my business elsewhere. He then refused to allow me to talk to Ashley and said he I could talk to him instead. During my contact with Eddie, he also advised me that Ashley was going through a lot and it appeared to me that he was attempting to make me feel bad for complaining. This is a business with clients. After being a loyal client, and what I considered a friend, of Ashley’s for SEVEN YEARS, she found out who I voted for by watching stories on Instagram, didn’t approve of my political decision, and without so much as a goodbye, blocked me. She blocked every account tied to me (I’m also a small business owner), as well as both of my teenagers’ accounts. Clearly that speaks volumes for itself.
Beware of being her client if you don’t agree with her views, whatever they may be.
Love, light and peace isn’t blocking a client and friend of 7 years with zero explanation. If this is who you’ve always been, then I have been the one deceived into believing there was a friendship. You texted me about moving my appointment and canceled me the night before I was due to come in. Regardless of your beliefs, this is all extremely unprofessional and childish. I hope you realize that you’re still servicing clients that voted differently than you did. Are you asking everyone who they voted for and showing those who felt differently than you the door? I wish you the business...
