Reflections Dermatology — Attraction in Winter Park

AVOID THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY! I saw Dr. Palceski for crow’s feet and the frown line. I told him I had Botox applied before with no problem or side effects, but it lasted too little. He recommended Dysport instead, and assured me the results would be really natural and I would be able to go about my day after the procedure with no issues at all.

Once I got the injections I was told the inflammation would go down in about 30 minutes. I asked if there were any after care instructions and the doctor said there were absolutely none.

I ended up with a large painful lump in my forehead that lasted 3 days. The lump also turned into a really dark bruise and all the areas where the Dysport was applied went numb. About an hour after the Dysport was applied I started experiencing a sharp headache (similar to brain freeze) that became more intense in the area where the bruise was, and almost unbearable if I tilted my head forward. The pain has not gone away even after taking pain killers. My eyelid on the side of the bruise also got swollen and dropped to the point of almost touching my eyelashes and affecting my vision.

After four days of experiencing all these side effects I called the doctor’s office. He, of course, was TOO BUSY to take my call or call me back himself. He instead asked that I sent photos through a text message, and had one of his assistants call me back later. Her solution to everything I explained was to put ice on the bruise. She kept denying the swollen eyelid, the headaches and numbness were caused by Dysport. She barely let me speak and said I should call my PCP because this was not related to Dysport, but to another condition I probably had before. I insisted that I had no numbness, headaches or a swollen eyelid before the procedure, but she just ignored me and kept recommending ice for the bruise and painkillers for the headache. She even had the audacity of saying that I already had a droopy eye before the procedure, so they had nothing to do with it. “Because these are not typical side effects we’ve seen before,” she repeated over and over.

I ended up paying a lot for this procedure and a the many beauty products he recommended. My face looks terrible now and parts of it are numb. None of the amazing results he promised are visible, and I don’t know how long these painful side effects will last, or if they’ll ever go away. I now have to take it to my PCP to solve it.

Value your health an STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Don’t make the same mistake of letting the nicely decorated office impress you and make you think you’ll be in the hands of a professional, knowledgeable, and caring doctor/staff. All he and his staff seem concerned about is selling his very expensive beauty products and procedures, but will take zero responsibility or care about your health if...

Please , please reconsider and get a second opinion before you get anything done with Dr. Palceski.. I would not wish the horrible experience I had on anyone. Also, please beware of Dr doing “off label” (as they call it)Dysport /Botox treatments in areas that are not FDA approved. I ended up in the ER , and then the ophthalmologist to treat a severe eye issue that occurred when the Dr injected Dysport into my eye lid! I was naive as this was my first time and trusted the Dr. which turned out to be horrible for me. The worst part was Dr. Palceski couldn’t have cared less that this happened to me, and was very rude and condescending. He only worried about making sure he wasn’t liable. I have never seen such an uncaring Dr. From my experience he seems very vapid, unkind, and just really doesn’t care. Please go to someone else like Dr. Savage in winter park- Dr. Savage is wonderful- and was horrified that the Dr at Reflections had injected Dysport into my eye lid.
