Winthrop Public Library — Attraction in Winthrop

a beautiful library. a wonderful addition (expansion from the old library). But... so noisy! I expect when kids sometimes, in their enthusiasm, talk in louder voices but adults too were talking loudly as if at a restaurant. Whatever happened to "shhhhhh...."? :) Kids can learn to be more quiet if adults explain the rules to them and consistently apply these (instead of violating the traditional rules of libary silence themselves...). A library has always been for me a refuge. A place of quiet to support study and contemplation. Not so now the Winthrop Public Library. Jupiter might be a better choice...
