My review is really of the products themselves (lenses) which are lesser than other places I have been for 40 years of wearing glasses. I will say Jon & Michelle are outstanding. Jon's skill level with adjusting, knowledge of insurance questions that others ask, his calm professional demeanor with all matters is admirable. Michelle's customer service and I would say excitement for her job & helping people get exactly what they need and will like...is second to none. The entire staff really is honestly great, especially in this world where customer services can be lacking. The doctor I saw was wonderful as well, very professional....I never waited more than a few mins. for my appt. BUT the lenses....not good at all. The materials they use are so heavy & thick. I have been using most recently before this year Vison Works & before that Walmart . I pay for the best quality lenses because my prescription is such that lenses would be thick & unattractive or heavy on my face and ears. There is no comparison to other companies. Americas Best has thick heavy materials. I did also bring in my other glasses with the exact same prescription, the staff could see and feel how much thinner and lighter the lenses were....We changed my order to the most lightweight frames I could and a shape that would have a smaller lenses in it. I went through it all with Jon. We changed to the slightly lesser expense lenses"poly" cause they are more light weight than their best "high index lenses" which I ordered 1st trying to get the best product they offered....The poly were slightly less weight...but just NOWHERE NEAR THE QUALITY OF OTHER COMPARABLE PRICED COMPANIES LIKE VISON WORKS & WALMART. I feel uncomfortable in them EVERY DAY & just wish my insurance could be credited back so I don't have to pay like $400 cash somewhere else just to have one new comfortable pair cause my insurance is used up till next January. If you have low level prescriptions you may be fine with the lenses but if you have a high prescription...stay away & go somewhere else. The lenses will be way more comfortable I promise you and it is something you wear on your face all...
   Read moreIncompetence at best! I came into this location due to being on the road for work. Not knowing the exact date but expecting my contact prescription to soon end, I purchased 1 box of contacts, 5 days later, I purchase another box and asked one of the representatives for my expiration date, she told me 6/27/21. The next day, I tear my second pair of Americaâs Best brand contacts; I prefer Biofinity but go with Sofmed due to its availability. Knowing that time is running out, I return to the store on 6/25/17 to get a print out of my prescription and return the second box of âtear-awayâ Sofmed contacts. Iâm then told, they donât have my prescription on file b/c my examine was given at another location. When I asked if the prescription can be faxed, they inform me that their fax machine is down. After calling my home location in Denver, I learn that my prescription actually expired on 6/18/21. Incompetence all around. I feel like even if the prescription had not expired, this team of low vibrational energy and enthusiast individuals would have given up when we arrived at the broken fax. Both the manager and assistant manager were around at some point and neither was of any service. At the VERY least, it would have been nice to be offered a pair of âtear-awayâ Sofmed samples but the idea of Americaâs Best giving away samples.... thats a whole...
   Read moreI sent a detailed email to Americaâs best and received one back saying that someone would contact me shortly that was in April. I still have not heard a word. I am very very disappointed. My husband and I paid over $700 after insurance for our glasses and they are the worst glasses I have ever purchased! We waited over two weeks and never received a call or an email stating our glasses were ready. I had to call and they said oh yes theyâre here so we went in to pick them up and very minimal assistance. We took the glasses home and two days later, we received a text saying the glasses were ready when we already had them in our possession. They are terrible. They smudge worse than any glasses Iâve ever had. I complained and with no response. We just came back from vacation where My glasses broke so I had to purchase a pair of readers, I will never use them again. when I asked the sales person, (who by the way from my prospective had little knowledge) about the special deal $89. They said oh that goes out the window the minute you add anything what a way to speak to a customer , so is this a gimmick?!
