Escape Room Woodbridge — Attraction in Woodbridge

Website says $5.00 discount per person. I ordered and paid for the 5 person package on a gift card. They said holiday code didn't count and could be used for future visits. To make very long frustrating story short. They decided to refund my money and not give me promised discount. This company will be out of business soon operating this way. I did get money back, but they have not.changed website to say discount doesn't apply to gift certificates! Beware! I got a call from owner. She was very nice, but stuck on her algorithm and said it was too much work so they just gave my money back. I am giving an extra star because she tried. We did three rooms here and had a really great time. We experienced 3 different GMs and they were all really really good. Knew their stuff, set up everything right, kept the mood fun. In 2 rooms, the GM was in the room with us, which was a first for us. Made us nervous at first, but we ended up really enjoying it. He kept in character the whole time, even when we screamed loudly during a particular part. All three rooms had different types of puzzles, so it didn't feel like we were repeating the same thing over and over all day, and the themes were very different. Props were in good shape and triggers worked well (even ones with lights/lasers that are sometimes tricky). No problems with combinations locking out or anything like that. And they are good at signaling that something has happened (if a door pops open, a bell will ring, or there will be a distinct "clunk" to tell you that you succeeded. One room was a bit dark, which shouldn't be a problem, but we have some vision impairment, so it affected us a bit (that's probably just us though). I made a reservation for my birthday THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE and they messed up the reservation. They gave me tickets for seven people instead of ten and we couldn't just uninvite three people! Of course they did not call me to inform me of this issue until THE DAY OF our reservation TWO HOURS before we were supposed to be there. They obviously waited until the day of instead of at least two days prior to prevent me from getting a refund. When they did call, the lady on the phone was INCREDIBLY rude and emotionally abusing. I am astonished at the way this situation was handled and will be going to escape rooms elsewhere in the future. Update: When she read this review, she called my mom and harassed her and called her stupid multiple times, repeating "It's not rocket science".
