I’ve been a loyal customer of Fresh World for many years—even before the Woodbridge location opened, I used to shop at their other stores. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Woodbridge location left me very disappointed due to the unprofessional customer service I experienced.
While shopping, I noticed a 12-pack of Coke Zero with a price tag of $6.99 marked as a “Manager’s Special,” placed directly under the product. Another tag nearby showed $9.99, so I assumed the item was on sale and picked it up. Just to be cautious, I also grabbed a mini Coke Zero in case the 12-pack wasn’t actually on sale.
At checkout, I asked the cashier to confirm the price. He scanned the item, and it rang up as $9.99. I mentioned the $6.99 tag, and the cashier—who was polite—offered to check with the manager.
Unfortunately, the manager’s response was surprisingly rude. She returned from the aisle with a photo of the $9.99 tag and abruptly told me that the item was not on sale. I calmly explained that there was a $6.99 tag clearly displayed under the same product. Instead of acknowledging the possibility, she insisted there was no such tag. Only after I walked her back to the aisle did she acknowledge the $6.99 manager special tag, but then dismissed it by saying the item was out of stock.
I wasn’t looking to argue or insist on the lower price—an honest apology for the incorrect signage would have been enough. However, the dismissive and confrontational attitude was unnecessary and disappointing.
I hope Fresh World can provide better training in customer service, especially when it comes to handling such situations respectfully and professionally. It’s unfortunate to feel mistreated at a place I’ve supported...
Read moreI'm Currently stewing in anger over how I was treated in this store. I understand they have a theft problem and tonight I was not dressed fancy but I don't think anybody wants to be treated like a thief or a poor person who can't afford anything in here.
I came in tonight with 4 of my kids and my husband at around 5pm. We separated bc my kids enjoy looking at the poor cramped fish in the tanks. Blissfully unaware of the animal cruelty. The "security guard" approached me from behind as I was putting green onions into a bag. Smacking his mouth repeatedly telling me backpacks aren't allowed. How is a mom suppose to grocery shop without a diaper bag when she has 2 toddlers? When I explained my situation he shrugged his shoulder and looked at me like I was being untruthful about having children. I still shopped and spent around $250. I went to the car to drop off the groceries into my 2021 honda odyssey. My husband took the kids to eat from the Hispanic food stall. After we all finished my kids asked for sweets so I spent another $15. As we were leaving that same "security guard" stared at our bags as if he was suspicious of what we took. Obviously unaware of what we did do in the store. If management happens to read this. Why not discreetly watch your customers. You have all those cameras and not a single employee watching them. Instead they turn the monitors around for the customers to be scared. If you happen to review tapes, I'm that asian lady. I'm dressed in sweats because i was painting all day. I left here with an icky feeling and not sure I want to go in...
