Horrible treatment by one of the girl staff. Entered the store at 8:30pm and went there to QUICKLY check to see if had something for my costume. I looked through clothing aisles really fast and grabbed a few things. I was almost ready to check out at 8:48. The person I was with had to go to the bathroom. Then at 8:50 they put over the intercom that they were closing in 5 minutes (hours posted say 9 o'clock but I get it). The security guard who I will stay was actually nice and was going around told me they were closing. I told him I was waiting for the person in the bathroom and then we were going to the front. He said okay. The person I was with came out at 8:54. We went to the front and were waiting to check out and there were people in front of us and I thought I saw something that looked like a piece that would work for my costume in the jewlery area (At this location legit 5 steps away from checkout. I went over a only scammed with my eyes to see if the item would work or anything else and then told by same security guard that it was time to check out. I said that I understood and just by habit checked my phone again and it just turned 8:55. As I was talking to HIM and told HIM that I was scanning with my eyes one of the girl staff yelled EXCUSE ME, WERE CLOSING. All registers were full, but one finally was empty when she shouted. It was still 8:55 when I checked my phone. I went over to the register which is SELF checkout, meaning that they would not have to help me at all. They could do any closing stuff that didn't include a customer. I normally in general don't come at late times but as mentioned I was running in as quickly as possible. It was not after operating hours and I was extremely upset to be treated so unprofessionally. I stated before that the security guard was very kind and was just reminding me a second time. I understand wanting to get out at time and is why I know all the times that things happened as constantly was checking my phone so we could get out before 9:00. Left the store at 8:57. Left feeling extremely unhappy and honestly not happy with my purchase as treated like crap when still in operating hours. No other customer should have to be treated this way. I get being more stern if someone was there still shopping around 9:00 or even after but was right at the register just quickly jumping over to look at something that I thought I was going to purchase. Bought significantly less after treatment and left some items, as did not feel like supporting the business that had such horrible staff besides the...
Read moreHad some time tonight, so I I thought I would make the track to the savers. I’d only been one other time and it was not a pleasant experience because of the price points that had been over a year ago and I thought perhaps it was just a fluke. I arrived 35 minutes before closing. I walked in and looked at a selection of furniture by the front doors, because I work with vintage furniture. I generally know value. The prices were not only ridiculous, but they were so far out of line with what is acceptable at a thrift store.
In less than 10 minutes after I arrived, security came and told me they close early here, and That I needed to wrap up my shopping. I had not even gotten through two rows of the hard goods I was moving a little slow because I was taking pictures of the prices for different friends again completely out of line or even savers.
Within two minutes a very rude manager got over the loudspeaker to tell everybody that they close their Registers down Early. He clearly was done. He wanted to get out of there any joked over the loudspeaker about how we can’t stay there we need to go, but it was extremely unprofessional very rude and this guy needs to go and get some training on customer relations.
When I went up to the register to Make up very small purchase I heard him be so extremely rude to a few Groups of customers, and then he laughed about it and walked over to a coworker to talk about how ridiculous people are. He did this in front of a whole bunch of customers… The store is trying to get boutique prices for broken things. The staff Definitely do not care about the customers as a whole from the examples that I saw the two times I was there. I spent a lot of time in savers across the metro. I know it staffing challenges are, but I have never seen poor management the way I’ve seen exhibited tonight in any of those savers in the metro… I wish I didn’t have to give one star because...
Read moreThis Savers always has a great assortment of options but you have to have an eye for a deal as often the prices are the same as buying new. But after my experience today I can’t recommend them at all. Genuinely the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a long time and will likely cost me a couple hundred in repairs.
I found this gorgeous grandfather clock and the incredibly sweet folks inside told me to pull around to the donations area and they will bring it out to my car.
The young man, working in the back, approached me after I backed my car in, thinking it would be easier for them to load it, and asked if I saw the white arrows. I repeated back to him my intention, and he asked me again, more frustrated. I said I did see them and was just looking to pick something up. He then asked me a third time if I saw the arrows and scoffed at me and told me to pull off to the side. Whatever, everyone has bad days. I’m not trying to get in the way of the flow.
When he returns to put the clock into the car he’s super rough with it (and my car- yikes!!) and pushes it into the drivers seat and I loudly say “wait stop” and they give another shove and there’s a loud crack as they snap the finial off AND KEEP PUSHING.
You can hear the other top pieces straining and I have to start physically pushing it back so it doesn’t break (or tear the back of my seat) I ask them to hold on and they slightly adjust the clock and assure me they’ve got it- and dig the edge of the clock into my center console, scratching the leather.
My advice? Don’t let them load anything in your car. And to the staff that did that- come on, man. Don’t be a jerk for...
