As a business owner myself, and member of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, I was really disappointed in my first experience at Turn Style. So much so that I WILL NOT return. I had two Ethen Allen pieces that I wanted to consign, plus I am a weekly thrift shopper and was excited to check out a new (to me) place to shop. After being told that they could not help me move the furniture to the 2nd floor (I had a heavy glass top), I was debating my choices, unsure of what to do because my husband was out of town, so he couldn’t help. And I needed to get everything out of my car because we were leaving for out of town once he got home. Yes I was disappointed, but I was just simply weighing my options in my head when the woman snapped at me as if I was arguing with her, I wasn’t. It was my first time there and I wasn’t made aware of this protocol even though I emailed and called to let them know I was bringing it in. Perhaps she was having a bad day, perhaps she is used to people arguing with her and getting hostile. But her response to me was totally uncalled for as I was not fighting, just weighing my options. I was not aggressive in any way, it is not my nature. I really wanted to go back there to shop, but...
Read moreMy friend and I were just shopping on February 12th 2025 around 3:30 pm. We were provided with outstanding service and help from one of the employees, a younger gal with red hair. We didn’t get her name, but wanted to leave a good review for her for helping assist us throughout our time shopping. Unfortunately I can only give this review 4/5 stars due to the manager or supervisor on duty’s poor attitude that we witnessed while checking out. The manager came over and scolded the girl helping us in front of us and other customers for “not clearing a rack of clothes as fast as the other employees”. This seemed very unprofessional and frankly rude to the employee who was helping us at the time. Considering the fact that the employee was assisting us at the time and helping us to have a good shopping experience, we did not understand why she was faced with this public criticism for her “work ethic” when she should have been praised instead for great customer service. Overall, we had a good experience due to the red haired sweet employee helping us, who we want to give a big thank you to and we hope she feels very appreciated and gets more recognition from her supervisor...
Read moreDon't drop off your items to sell there. I dropped off 19 pieces in Feb 2020. I went in this past week and the young gal said I had no money and there was no items listed under my name. She said that had happened to someone else too and they were having "computer" problems. Totally unacceptable for a mainstream consignment shop. They are making 100% money from my items. She told me to speak with the manager and I will, but it needs to be remedied. Luckily I still have the slip showing the items I left with them. I will come back and comment after I speak with manager. Update: I did finally get a hold of the manager and she was very apologetic and helpful. I still had my drop off slip(which you should definitely hang on to) and she said sometimes the computer inputs your information behind or in front of your account to the person who is alphabetically next to you on their listings. She found the items I dropped off and placed them in the correct account. I really appreciated her help, but would love to see them update their...
