We held our August 2024 wedding and JM Cellars and were so so happy with our experience. From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds we knew no other venue would compare. There is a reason why JM is one of the top venues in the area. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and has that quintessential PNW vibe, upscale and effortlessly elegant while also feeling laid back. Despite the august weather taking a turn to rain and having to host our event indoors, which was not what we planned, the event was so lovely. EVERY SINGLE VENDOR. We contacted praised JM and said they were one of, if not their absolute favorite venues to work with. They have a great reputation in the greater seattle wedding industry, which made the planning process that much easier for us. Leslie was so great to work with as our venue coordinator. Obviously, wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful, but every interaction we had with Leslie, from walkthroughs and even via email, put our worries at ease and made us feel like we were in good hands. With JMs strict policies regarding preferred vendors, she already had a great working relationship with our planner which made everything run so smooth. We would recommend this venue whole heartedly to any couple, and cannot thank the employees and owners of JM Cellars enough for hosting our wedding. Pro’s - Included furniture and decor: all of the furniture and decor we used comes included, and fits the style of the venue and the space perfectly. To rent the same quality furniture at another venue would cost thousands of dollars, which made it worth the cost and hassle - Strict rules/preferred vendor lists: at first we thought this was a con, but very quickly into the planning process we realized this was a MAJOR PLUS. JM is very particular about their vendors and provided small, preferred vendors lists for catering and planning services, with recommendations for other vendors. The vendors they recommend are top tier, and offer competitive pricing. It made the planning process run extremely smooth and streamlined because they know the venue so well. - The loft space is fantastic. The bridal suite and getting ready area is perfect for bride/bridesmaids. Our HMUA brought in extra lighting, but otherwise it was well equipped. The pool table room/groom/groomsmen hangout looked great in photos. The full kitchen and living space was great for our catered lunch and beverages. Such a comfortable getting ready space. Con’s - parking is a bit tricky, particularly for the bridal party and family before the event. JM has taken great measures to improve this for guests with included valet. This was truly the only “con” of the venue, but all of our guests emphasized it was a non issue!

We had tried to come to this place many times but all was unsuccessful since they usually closed for private event. luck smiled with us this Sunday and to our surprise the Winery is extremely beautiful. 1. First impression: nice looking place, they provide complimentary Valet parking and later on we totally understand why. The parking space is very limited, without the valet it would become a chaos for customers. 2. the Ambiance: greenery, elegant, cosy and relaxing. The main building ( house) is actually on top of a hill so there's a walking trail provided for your curiosity. Keep walking to the trail and you will find more interesting things. There are random chairs provided on the trail for you to sit down and enjoy the nature with a glass of wine in your hand. 3. The decoration: very cute and elegant. There are seating areas inside and outside, all is kept at a certain distance which provide more privacy for customers 4. The service: very friendly staff and the service is fast 5. The wine: in my opinion, the wine is ok, neither bad nor excellent. But I can found myself keep coming back to enjoy the atmosphere and the wine. This place is definitely a good place for a wedding reception or any private events if you want too. I noticed the place is dog friendly and kid friendly too. However your kids gonna be bored to death since there's no soft drinks or any games for them to play around. Since the place is usually occupied by private events, recommend to call them first to check the hours. Last Sunday when we went there, they close at 4pm They also provide CLUB membership, which allows you to access a different area for tasting

We recently had our wedding at JM Cellars and we couldn't have asked for a better venue and experience. We weren't initially sure on whether we wanted a wedding, or to go the elopement route, but when we walked the property on our initial consultation, the decision was made for us. The location, layout, and amenities really makes you feel like you are in your own magical realm. There is a degree of exclusion and intimacy that other venues can't come close to. The planning process was easy and our coordinator, Leslie, was communicative, helpful, and an overall delight to work with. Needless to say, the wine, and beer, was phenomenal. Two things we were initially worried about was the overall time allowed for setup (~4:30-6:00) and allowed length of the wedding (~6-11:30), but let me tell you, they are non-issues. JM and their preferred vendors are experts and it was amazing to watch them setup. The length of wedding was the perfect, and we didn't leave wanting more. In our opinion, there is not a better wedding venue in the greater Seattle area than JM Cellars and we can't recommend them enough! Cheers! Nick and Callie Pines!

JM Cellars is a beautiful place to drink wine and have a great time in gorgeous surroundings. However, the wines poured were not in “my style,” too fruity with little body. The experience seemed less about the wine and more about having a drink in a “romantica” spot. However, I used to be a wine guy for restaurants decades ago, and I came to Woodinville to learn about and taste great Washington wines, not just to have a good time.

The people pouring were hired for their gracious demeanor, not for their knowledge of the wines. The wines we tasted were explained on an accessible app. Hey, I get enough of the impersonal computer world in Seattle. Drinking and enjoying wine should be all about people, exchanging ideas with good joy and laughter. I don’t want to stare at my phone while tasting good wines. Maybe it was caution in this time of Covid. If so, I get it, but I still thought little of the wines poured.

Yet, we had a nice time and everyone at the tables around us were enjoying themselves. Most people “just want to have fun,” and don’t take vino as seriously as I do. JM provides a gorgeous place to get that...
