The older woman who manages this coffee shop is one of the rudest people I’ve ever interacted with. One situation was when I was going to get my regular coffee and decided to get my little brother a special drink, too, and I was charged over $5 per kid 8oz drink. The sign clearly said $2.70 per kid's drink. And the lady asked the little ones if they wanted whipped cream. They said yes, which apparently means you're getting “the works,” for which they change over a dollar, but they don't tell you they charge you. When I asked about the bill because three drinks were over $20, she was rude and told me I was dumb for thinking that their menu price was accurate for this day and age, which was insulting. I was in shock because I didn't have the kind of money where I could spend $25, including the tip, on one coffee and two kids' drinks. The most recent issue was that my mom and I ordered three cold brews with heavy cream and foam just a few days ago. They charged us 29 dollars for two 16oz cold brews and one 24oz, over 9 dollars per drink before the tip we left. We paid and then got up to the window; when we saw the drinks, we saw they had missed the milk. We politely asked if you could add a little cream by any chance, and she said, “No, I can't because I would have to remake the drinks.” So we asked if she could give us a little cup with some cream to do it ourselves, and she sighed and said, "Well, I’ll have to charge you for it," but we had clearly ordered our drink with the other lady asking for cream, which was their honest mistake. It would not have been a problem if she hadn't been rude, told us no, and rolled her eyes at us. There have been at least two different situations like this that have made it clear that she has no customer service skills and is one of those people who rejoice in making other people feel dumb to have the audacity of nicely asking someone at a coffee shop to actually to give you what you paid $9 for. It's unfortunate, too, because when they make your coffee correctly, it's excellent, and the baristas who work there are very kind and don't deserve to have such an angry and...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with this business as a whole. To begin with, I am a fellow local business owner! I love supporting small businesses and wanted to try this place due to their extravagant looking fall/Halloween drinks. Me and my husband drove to this Woodinville location and ordered two drinks, which we paid for to be not only ghostified (which is marshmallow fluff+ marshmallow ghosts) and an additional adding of candy. All of the photos on their Instagram of the same exact drinks we ordered, were decked out with candy. After paying $30 for 2 drinks that should include everything we paid for, I couldn’t believe it when the lady at the window gave me our order. Not only was there NO candy at all, the drink was sloppily made and the ghosts didn’t even look like ghosts, they had no eyes. I even asked the lady up front if she was sure that this was everything we paid for and she just nodded so I went to go park. We were extremely disappointed as we drove 20 minutes and paid a dinners cost for two subpar poorly made drinks. We felt scammed as we absolutely did not get the additional stuff we paid for and after messaging their Instagram page, the person managing the ig paid even agreed it was unacceptable and offered a full refund. Now, the reason I’m writing this is because after giving the owner my husbands name on the card to be refunded to, which is a POC name, the owner not only has seen our messages but decided to ignore me even after a follow up. I am offended and upset over the owner even offering a full refund and not following through. I’m even suspecting if the owner is purposely ignoring and not putting effort into fixing this situation due to microagressions. Maybe if my husbands name on the card was of a caucasian origin then just maybe we wouldn’t get this sort of treatment, however I am of caucasian mixed descent and have never received this kind of treatment on my own. Either way, this is NOT the kind of business I’d like to support. My husband will be contacting his bank. This is extremely...
Read moreGrounds has had my heart for a few years. It was consistent and very wonderful people that would work there that actually went out of their way to make the customers happy and would ask about the customers plans for the day, etc. Now, I noticed new people started working and it’s a whole different atmosphere. The past few times I have gone with friends, they have messed up my drink order. To name a few incidences, I ordered a 32oz redbull Italian soda with cream and whip and I was given a 24oz with only whip. My friend ordered a 24oz redbull Italian soda with no cream or whip and was given a 24oz RBI soda with cream. Again today, my friend ordered a 24oz RBI soda with no cream or whip, but I visibly saw the blonde guy put whip cream on her drink (even tho she asked for there to be no whip cream) and then scrap it off and put it into a new cup, even after being told by one of the other workers that it had NO WHIP, NO CREAM. He should have made a new drink, after putting the whip on top, especially without knowing if my friend had a severe dairy allergy. Mind you there was still residue in the new cup with whip cream. I also saw one of the girls grab frozen fruit from the cooler with her bare hands which is a big No-no in the food industry. The workers would constantly have to remake drinks since they’re all talking to each other, seeming like it’s distracting them and messing up orders. I’m very disappointed in the service since the workers no longer care about engaging with the customers and talk...
