The Hollywood Tavern is not your ordinary tavern—it’s a Woodinville treasure. Nestled in the heart of wine country, steps away from Woodinville Whiskey Co., world-class wine tasting rooms, and charming local shops, this tavern is the place to pause, refresh, and truly savor the moment.
What makes it special is the atmosphere: cozy enough for families with kids (complete with crayons and a kid-friendly menu), yet stylish enough for a date night or a gathering with friends. I especially love sitting outside on sunny days, under wide umbrellas, with the breeze carrying the sound of laughter and clinking glasses. Their patio near the bar is my second favorite spot—you can still feel connected to the world outside while enjoying all the comforts of a tavern.
🍗 The Food Highlights • Fried Chicken – I don’t even like fried chicken usually, but theirs is irresistible. Perfectly seasoned, always crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and consistently delicious. • Beecher’s Mac & Cheese – Mac may seem simple, but it takes real technique. Hollywood Tavern has mastered it: creamy, soulful, comforting. It usually arrives baked just right, though on one visit it came out a little darker than usual. Chef—please note, your consistency has always been flawless, and that one time was the exception. I keep coming back because you’ve nailed it every other time! • Fried Pickles – These are my personal favorite. Crisp, tangy, and addictive—even my loved ones, who doesn’t like pickles, devours them here. • Wings – Golden, juicy, and paired with celery and ranch, these are tavern comfort food at its finest. • Sandwiches & Burgers – Flavorful, hearty, and always paired with fries that hit the spot.
🍹 The Drinks
This tavern takes pride in craft cocktails that balance creativity and tradition. Whether you’re sipping champagne in the sun, enjoying a whiskey neat from across the street at Woodinville Whiskey, or indulging in a house cocktail, every drink feels crafted with intention.

Woodinville is full of attractions—whiskey, wine, artisan bites—but this tavern is the soul of it all. The kind of place where neighbors meet, visitors linger, and families feel free. Cozy, inviting, and unforgettable—Hollywood Tavern is where Woodinville’s...
Read moreFirst time to the area and first time trying out this well reviewed restaurant. If it hadn't been for the service it would have been probably 5 stars. Loved the outdoor seating and the inside seating was great as well. We showed up a little after 3 on a holiday and there was plenty of parking and plenty of tables in and out. Might be because of the holiday. Because I've seen this place packed on the couple of occasions I've driven by so far. We had the Wild Boars Sloppy Joe and Mables Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Both were great although there was a tab too much salt in the sloppy joe. The problem with our first ever visit was the waiter. Although very friendly he must have been at the end of his shift doing his side work because he disappeared for long stretches. Other waiters seeing empty drinks etc. helped out.. But the kicker was when we sat down, nobody was with us on the street side of the outdoor seating. We placed drink orders and then after about 5 minutes another couple sat down. We placed our order then heard that couple place there order a few minutes later. Then after another few minutes a group of women sat behind us. They placed drink orders and then a few minutes later order food. All the while we are waiting on our food. First the couple had there food delivered. Burgers. At this point we started to get annoyed. Then a few minutes later the group of women that came in quite a bit later than us and placed their food order quite a bit later recieved there food. The missing waiter checked on the first couple to see how their food was and noticed we still did not have ours. Gave me a finger signaling just a moment. Disappeared for about 5 then came back with a drink refill order for the girls behind us and told us he was checking on our food. The long and short of it is that both parties ate long before is and were long gone by the time we wrapped up. No apologies for the mess up in orders and to put a cherry on top we asked for ranch for our fries, we were charged for the dipping sauce. We'll give it another try but wow for such a well reviewed place, this first impression was tainted by crap service. Hope they do...
Read moreTL;DR: the cubano is good, fries are "ok" but I recommending subbing with something else if they have the option.
Parking: very small shared lot with the winery. Plan ahead, parking is competitive during peak hours. There is additional parking near the baseball field in a gravel lot if you don't mind walking about 5 mins.
Atmosphere: a bit on the loud side. I honestly can't remember if I heard any ambient music. Indoor and outdoor dining options.
Menu: pictureless but with good descriptions. Expect $15+ per person.
Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, water yourself with provided square glass bottles, check brought to you, box up your own leftovers.
Cubano: I love how everything in the sandwich blends together and the bread had a very satisfying texture. I'm a huge fan of pepperoncini and these added just the right amount of kick and tang to the sandwich. Not too big of a fan of the fries that come with it -- a bit on the soggy / overly browned side. in my opinion; though the flavor wasn't bad. I'm a big texture person for fries and I would have preferred them to be slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If possible, I'll ask to sub the fries with something else instead next time.
Cod and Chips: the flavor of the dipping sauce was totally bomb. The cod was tasty too but slightly overcooked in my opinion and a tad on the greasy side. Fries were nothing to write home about as mentioned above.
Mini Mac (kid's menu): honestly the mac wasn't very satisfying and was on the thick side. I was expecting the kind of mac that would melt in your mouth as easily as the cheese but these pasta shells were a bit undercooked I believe. The cheese wasn't too bad but I can see it being overwhelming if that is all you are going to be eating. I'd recommend getting dipping fries in this or mixing something from the menu to this dish to give your palate...
