Redner's Fresh Markets — Attraction in Wyomissing

Why do they call this location Reading, when it is located in Wyomissing? I never understood, and I will never understand. Also it makes it more difficult to search and find. Good Grief! Because of the incident I wanted to give it 3 stars, but - because they gave excellent service for many years prior, I compromised and gave them 4 stars, then I upgraded to 5. There was definitely a problem, but - it was handled superbly! The incident was this past holiday, I ordered a 16 piece chicken (Redners is far superior then KFC) that I wanted freshly made. I was told it would take app 30 minutes, in which I agreed, but - when I got back my order was not ready, because of shift change. To make it worse, the young lady did not tell the next shift of my order, therefore another delay of 30 plus minutes. I was infuriated, because I was now running late for a party. I asked for the Manager, and I told him my story, in which he went back and confirmed my story, and apologized and gave me my entire order for FREE! Wow! I only expected an apology, or maybe a small discount, but - an entire chicken order of app $25 was given to me with apologies. Thank You very much! The Manager deserves 5 stars! They always have fresh vegetables,fruits,breads,meat ...... Their self check out service is bad.The system is terrible and make people so embarrassed.The lady kept saying "you didn't scan",I hope she could have a few seconds to check the camera video,I did scan before put things into bag, Before she came ,the system showed "do you want to enter your phone number" after I scanned the products ,I tapped NO because I would scan my renders card later,however when I looked at the screen,it showed "help is on the way".The lady came and checked immediately ,I appreciated her help so I could check out successfully but I don't like the way she said "you didn't scan",please check your camera video if it's available. I still said "Thank you and have a good day "to the lady when I left ,at least she helped me ,hope the other people would not...

This is a larger Redners than i'm used to going to and is kept very clean however they actually don't have everything i get from the smaller Epharta location, But that's not why i'm giving a three star rating the reason for that is. I had called about Mako shark one weekend and was told it all sold out immediately and they would have more in stock the next day great. I get everything i need that has a very limited shelf life to make what i planned. I go to get it and the guy there says they got some last week sold none and had to discard it but can get me some for next weekend well that's a big let down. I go back the next weekend and am told they don't have any and to check thursday if they had ordered it. I really hope they get it together in that department and stop ruining my...
