If I could leave zero starts I would. This review is related to a birthday party we hosted there only.
I decided to host my girlâs 5th birthday party there. There is an online form you complete with the party request which I did and sent. I got zero response back. I called multiple times to follow up on the status of it, zero response. Decided to go in person and the âmanagerâ was not available so they took my information and he called me on a later day. Sounds like a terrible communication system. I should have seen the signs there.
I decided that a private reservation worked better for us. So we went ahead and booked that. We paid for 2 hours and I was informed that it was from 4-6 pm. Perfect! We went over the music choices I wanted, the drinks and snacks that were available. I specifically requested cotton candy and popcorn as my daughter loves that. I also wanted to cover the cost of additional drinks, the skates for my guests, etc. I felt everything was clear after spending my time coordinating this with the âmanagerâ. I paid in full for that (around $350) plus all the adds on of snacks and beverages (around additional $200) that we paid at the time of the event. Keep in mind I did this MONTHS in advance to ensure everything was planned as expected and was told someone will call me to confirm closer to the date of the event. Fast forward, nobody called me. I called the day before and left a message, nobody called me back. Again the lack of communication is impressive.
On the day of the event, we arrived 15 min before to decorate as I was told. The place was closed and while I was waiting outside (with balloons, cake, etc etc) I was told my event was at 4:30 not at 4 pm as I was told months ago. I explained I had over 40 guests coming with kids 5 years and under plus I am very pregnant and waiting in a 85 degree weather did not sound like a great plan. Can we do something? NO! That was the answer I got from a VERY VERY RUDE employee who claimed was a manger. âThere is nothing we can doâ that was the answer to all my possible options to come up to an alternative solution. We had sent the invitations with the time I was originally scheduled. Well, there was about 20 + guests, the birthday girl, I am in my third trimester of pregnancy waiting outside for about 30 min, pure misery!
We finally went inside. Phew đŽâđ¨ finally! Well guess what? NONE of the choices I made when I made the reservation was there. No cotton candy, not the beverages I requested, not the music playlist they offered. No TOILET PAPER in the bathroom!!! I had to use napkins I bought for the cake 𼴠the change machine to get quarters and use the arcade games was our order.
Conclusion: if you want a decent birthday party this is NOT the place for you. I informed all my guests to make sure nobody goes there or recommend the place to anybody because seriously the staff was unprofessional, the relationship cost vs quality was terrible and the experience less than pleasant to...
Read moreWe've been going here for the last 3-4 years- several times a year (driving 45mins one way to get there). We were always happy with the attitude and friendliness of the staff. I would often request a bunch of songs and because we came so often- the manager kept my list pinned to the board, so that if he saw me-- he would just start playing some of them. They did just a very few games for each session, so that everyone had more time to skate. But now there's new management.....and things aren't the same: We went two times recently during both an afternoon and evening session. Prices went up quite a bit (which I don't necessarily mind). Now they do several games per session which actually get little participation and just result in less time skating. They have some horrible app that they promote to use for making song requests....that basically doesn't work unless you have a friend to "up-vote" your request too. (They seem to have a paper request list too, but not one song I added there was played during the entire 2+ hours we were there). They now have those god-awful PVC "walkers" for new skaters, that just make the floor more crowded and dangerous. So, the kids who are not able to skate DON'T stay along the edges of the rink and go slow while learning-- they instead veer haphazardly all over the floor while not actual gaining skills at all. And they even allow the kids (who cannot skate) to use the "walkers" during a "fast skate" session! Sadly, many changes seem geared just to make more money and to attract more little kids and less actual skaters. Our family is disappointed and will likely stop going if things...
Read moreFirst of all let me start off by saying that Alisha was an absolutely delightful person. Although she was a truly nice person who was very kind, my experience there for my niece's birthday was absolutely not ok. We got there and had to wait for them to set up the area which was not done. Secondly, what did I pay $186 for? She brought 3 friends What we got was DEFINITELY NOT worth the price!!!!! So first, the pizza....not even made there, it's frozen Digiorno and only pepperoni. Secondly, there were no ice cream cups, they brought out ice cream sandwiches before the pizza was even done being eaten and they melted so fast because it was so hot in there! Next no cotton candy either so they told her to pick a candy. I ordered a balloon "bouqet" to the tune of $6, what I got was 3 10 cent balloons on a small clip they wouldn't even let us keep the balloons on! I ordered 2 additional pizzas and they served them to us burnt, we literally could not eat them. I have pics of all of this! So please explain to me again why I paid $186!!!???? For things that literally cost less than $30!!! Literally the only thing that she received that was actually stated was the button that lights up and the welcome back to skate pass. (A $10 value) So in a nutshell, cheap burnt box pizza, 3 ten cent balloons, 2 pitchers of pop, again tell me why a "public" party costs me $186. All I have to say is totally NOT worth the cost!!!! Super disappointed, will NEVER...
