Cherokee Indian Fair Grounds — Attraction in Yellowhill Community

There was a carnival. We had 9 kids with us. Wristbands were $25 each to be able to ride all of the rides an unlimited amount of time. There are also tickets available for purchase. The kids had a blast, which is the whole reason we went. The fried food was good and fresh. I deducted 3 stars because I do want to go ahead and say that it was obvious that some of the employees were using some sort of substance. Not all of them, a couple were kind but most did not speak and the tweaking out was not noticeable to the children but was to every adult there. THE 46TH ANNUAL CHEROKEE NC POWWOW WAS THE WEEKEND OF 4TH OF JULY...MY 1ST POWWOW N IT WAS THE BEST N EXCITING N BEAUTIFUL THING TO SEE...ALL THE DIFFERENT NATIONS FROM ALL OVER COME TO COMPETE FOR PRIZES.IT WAS ABSOUTLY THE MOST AWESOME EVENT TO SEE IF YOU LOVE THE NATIVE AMERICANS THEN YOU WILL WANT TO SEE THIS CAUSE ITS SOMETHG SO BEAUTIFUL YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT..MY 1ST ONE N I PLAN ON GOING TO NEXT YEARS TOO..GREAT FOOD N ALL KINDS OF NATIVE AMERICAN...

Great experience! Kids enjoyed it! Food was great and all the vendors were very nice! Prices were a tad expensive for the event but it was great fun and well worth it! The shows were fun to watch and the different events they had for each day of the week were amazing! So glad they had a kid day where they got in for free! And loved the parade that kicked off the whole event...
