We came by on a Saturday morning during lunch with a party of 11 and was accommodated well. They're dining space is fairly large and good for larger parties. The service was great. All the servers were attentive to us and courteous. They pushed out the food fairly quick for a party ofbour size we didn't have too long for our food and everyone's food came out within a timely matter so everyone got their food shortly after eachother. Usually with large food orders, I've notice restaurants struggle to push out the food and maintain a good quality of taste and presentation. The hibachi style and terriyaki dishes are pretty standard and tastes how they should. Not great but not bad. But the sushi was alot better than I had initially gave them. Sushi was good. Rice and fish was fresh. The rolls had good proportion of rice to ingredients ratio. If you're in the cherokee area and looking for a quick bite and to support a small local business then stop by here.

Terrible. The waitress was very aloof. I don’t understand the “express” in the restaurant name because there was nothing express about the food or service. The catamount rolls were basic and the Hawaiian rolls looked terrible. I didn’t even want to eat it. They insisted that I still pay for it even though I didn’t want to eat it. Your customer service is trash. The sushi rolls are so huge and unappealing. I did request to deep fry the Hawaiian rolls but I’m sure it would have been just as basic as the catamount. Also, we waited 10 minutes at the table with the check. I had to get up and ask the waiter if we pay at the front. That would have been a nice to know. I will NOT return.

I give 3 stars because this place isn't great by no means, but it also isn't completely terrible. There are definitely better japanese restaurants to go to, but if you are staying at the casino hotel or at a motel nearby it's not too bad to stop in here and get something decent to eat. They also have a drive-thru if you don't want to eat inside. The inside is really small. There are only like 10 tables/booths, give or take. The food is decent. The fried rice is really good, but everything else I've tried is just ok (edible). The "shrimp sauce" just tastes like tangy mayonnaise. Their salad is literally just a tiny little styrofoam to-go box of lettuce. Literally JUST lettuce, nothing else. The ranch dressing on my lettuce was really literally watered down. I don't know if it's because the lettuce is wet, because they don't dry it after washing it, or if the ranch was just literally watered down. It is 50/50 if you will get a good waitress or not. The first time I went the waitress was great, but the second and last time I went I had a horrible waitress. She was rude and short and just very unfriendly. She also got all of our orders wrong. I ordered the steak and chicken with NO mushrooms. She brought me steak, chicken, and shrimp WITH mushrooms and broccoli (which I wasn't supposed to get). In conclusion, Kobe isn't the worst, but honestly I would rather just go to the Burger King right...

Almost every time I order take out from this place they end up getting my order wrong. The food is usually pretty decent, but the service is terrible. I work at a hotel in the area and almost every time we get lunch from here we have a bad experience. They don't check to make sure they have your oder correct before getting off the phone. They are kinda rude when taking the order, too. And they're not exactly friendly or smiling when you pick it up either. And usually you end up with your take out boxes swimming in the juices that leak all into your bag. I called today to actually get my incorrect order corrected and they asked me to bring back the food that was wrong and they would fix it. I understand- make sure I'm not lying. But when I got there, she gave me a refund for it and asked me to pay for my corrected meal. And when I asked for a discount, I had to list off reasons to the manager about why I needed one. I've been in the customer service industry for many years, food and hotel, and this restaurant always bewilders me. The location in Sylva had much better customer service and I've never had any problems there. The staff is always super friendly and my order is correct and stays in the boxes. Cherokee location just...

All I can say about Kobe Express is ; If we would have known it would be such an imposition to come in for dinner after traveling all day we would never have bothered the staff at Kobe Express. From the staff being extremely rude about having to replace toilet paper, to my elderly mother sitting at a table alone and the waitress asking her if she was going to order or not!?!?😡 😤When my mother said she was waiting on us the ones waiting to use the one lady's restroom that 3 other people were standing in line for.😰 To the lady that brought out our food that had the look on her face that we actually had the nerve to come in there to bother them with such a task as to order dinner!!👹🤨 I get it your slammed !! Your tired!!😒 But my goodness why traumatize the customer!?!?☹️ I felt like I was in some kind of twilight zone!! 😟 I've never experienced anything like it and pray I don't ever again!!!😳 We literally could not eat! We got to go plates and threw the food away because we were afraid they spat in it🤮 !! I will never ever go back to Kobe to spend $68.00 for a meal!!We even left a 10.00 tip because we felt guilty for putting the staff in such a position of having to wait...
