My recent experience dining at Sticks was by far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant/bar establishment. We waited a total of 25 minutes before being greeted by our server. However, in the meantime, after 10 minutes I went to the bar & asked for some menus while being reassured our server would be right over. After another 10 minutes I return to the bar & ask if I can order with her since we still have not been greeted. The bartender told me no & that I would have to wait for our server! Obviously I was not okay with this. I convinced her to put in an appetizer to get us started, the spinach & feta rolls (which were still doughy when delivered!) On my way back to our table I asked a server if we were in her section & she was beyond rude, however, yes it was her section. After another few minutes she arrived & took our orders & she never returned. We had to get up to get our own napkins, silverware etc. It was insane how many times our server, Amanda, ignored us & walked by our table without a simple glance. When we flagged her down for our check it took another 15 minutes to come back for our payment. We frequent Aubrees quite often & considering it is the same management as Sticks, we do not plan...
Read moreI came here for one of my best friends wedding reception, she had reserved the space about a month in advance and was very excited about having the reception here.
The service was atrocious. The waitress was rude with a bad attitude, and the management staff was not very helpful when we brought this to his attention.
They seemed poorly prepared, and didn't seem to care about how their patrons were treated.
Such a shame that such a happy day had to have a stain like this on it.
UPDATE Another guest spoke to GM Rob Costa right around the time I wrote my initail review (about a week ago.) He apologized for the bad experience and said he would apologize to the Bride and Groom and refund their money from the pizzas they ordered for the reception. We were all pleased with this resolution and felt the GM showed great customer service, and really seemed to care about the situation.
This was almost a week ago and they have not been contacted nor has their money been refunded as promised. He apparently thought we would never find out and doesn't really care about the...
Read moreLocal here. Live a few blocks away and Sticks is an awesome alternative for a low key night. I personally get anxiety in busy bars…especially out in Ann Arbor on the weekends. But Sticks always seems to have a decent amount of people but manageable and maneuverable even on the weekends. Good food downstairs at Aubree’s and consistently good service. Pool and darts is a must as well as karaoke night. Outdoor patio is nice and well maintained. Only complaint might be the wait time for the pool tables. NOTE: there is a sign up sheet at the bar and the bartenders will call out in order. Make sure to let them know where you are and you might have to keep track of table time. Single games if busy are supposed to be 1.5 hours for $15. If the bartenders like you, you might get an extra 20-30 min and maybe a free pool session. All in all. Super solid place to go for a fun night without the drunkenness of the college students in Ann Arbor. Melanie is the main bartender and will take care of you as long as you’re not being an ass hole. Tip your bartenders...
