Iām happy we have a theater again. So, it is hard to review honestly without sounding ungrateful. Yet, it is a business and it has to meet the standards when they are charging as much or pretty close to the other theaters. Iām trying to see movies here more often to keep our business in my hometown, so this is a learning opportunity, an opportunity to grown as a business, etc. I want our theater to succeed. I am starting this review with an all out explanation because the ownerās/managerās responses to other reviews are a little rude and passive aggressive. Iām hoping this review isnāt received as an insult/putdown⦠Itās an opportunity to improve, which will bring in more people.
We go to the movies almost once a week. We are avid moviegoers. We have memberships with Cinemark, Regal, and Harkins. With that saidā¦
Pros: local, good snacks, decent beginner recliner seats, friendly staff, ok prices, discount Tuesday, rewards membership, good sound system (Yay!)
Cons: Weāve gone a couple of times when the projection on to the screen isnāt adjusted correctly. So, for the Naked Gun, we paid to view it on a large screen, but it was almost the size of my home projection screen. I think this is a significant issue that needs to be corrected and monitored during showtimes.
People talking during the movies is sometimes an issue.
The kiosks are not reliable. We do have a membership there and we havenāt been able to get it working to buy our tickets. Luckily, we always buy snacks so we did it all together. Yes, we couldāve done it online, but we were already there.
Also, sometimes the movies being chosen for the smaller or larger auditoriums are questionable. Big release movies with most likely larger viewership should be considered for the larger auditoriums.
The three stars are mainly because of the screen issues. It is a big deal to go to the movies and have the projection adjusted correctly as well as good sound. The...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place should have stayed closed if this is how they're going to run their business. The manager or owner not really sure was so rude and passive-aggressive it made me not want to come back here. I simply said somebody was in my seat and the manager or owner again not sure, said just pick a different one. What's the point of reserved seating if anybody can sit anywhere they want. They say that the seats have been upgraded but they are so uncomfortable it seems like they were bought at a dollar store. I would give this theater a pass if this was a budget theater, but they're charging as much as the big guys for a worser experience. I was shocked how tiny the screens are in this movie theater. And how can you have no stadium seating in 2024. So if convenience is really that important to you that you're willing to go to the movie theater that says it's upgraded but feels like it hasn't been upgraded since the 90s, then sure by all means, I just want to say they're much better options out there and if you join Regal Unlimited it's a much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately this remodel was not what I was and Iām sure what most were looking for when thinking of a theatre experience. It seems like there was a sale on recliners chairs and they decided to just reopen the theatre with them. These chairs donāt even have cup holders, hello! and thereās no stadium seating or gradient floor so when you recline your chair you actually cannot see the screen unless youāre in the front row. You also have to purchase your tickets ahead of time with your seat row and number but thereās no numbers tagged to the seat so itās a guessing game when you actually get to your row and if you arrive when the previews have started people need to use their phone lights to find the row. They arenāt lit up! Hello! The ticket line and food line was so disorganized we were late for the actual movie. Just head to Palm Springs for a nice theatre experience, unfortunately...
