The disparity in prices are hard to justifym they do have deals but the proportions are simply paired down to match the lowered price. Meaning you literally get what you pay for, and in some cases not even that. The Del Beef burrito is a good example. They have little to no meat in them especially when compared to the sizes of other similarly priced items. On night I placed an order via the mobile app grabbed a free burrito due to points among other things and when I arrived to pick it up, only the freebie items were in the bag and I was charged for them. I spoke to the young lady that explained they have no control or options to assist a patron or even attempt to make it right. The date I the mobile app for the order was even future dated by three days...huh???Tell me hoiw that happens....even drive back through the drive to show the young lady and all I got was "you'll need to call corporate to work this out." Likeare you kidding me, we were talking about two burritos and some fries totalling $12. And they can't assist you with such a simple and obvious.screw up. Lots of others better places to spend my money l, and with a staff that actually cares and are empowered enough to do smaller resolution...
Read moreI usually like this Del Taco but the other night just wasn't their night. I ordered two double Del cheeseburgers buy one get one free with a coupon a large fry and a large Coke. I asked for extra sauce on my burgers I did not get that at all as a matter of fact there was barely any sauce on them I directly told the young man at the drive-through window right to his face please may I have extra sauce he said yes no problem. The actual customer service was great, I mean they're really nice there don't get me wrong, but on more than one occasion the food has been subpar. And the french fries I was served up tasted like they've been sitting in the fry bin for about three and a half months! 😩😷 Sorry to have to do this but I had to say something because I actually really like Del Taco and I just want them to get things right so everybody has a good meal and nobody has money to waste $ on jacked up food when they are capable of serving up some really good, fresh food over there so I appreciate you guys cooking for me and everything but you know I'm helping y'all out coming to your business with my capital. Y'all remember when Del Taco used to be...
Read moreEvery time I hear the debate about whether or not people in the fast food industry deserve $15/h, I have an experience that leans me towards the "Heck no" side. I get to the speaker and the guy spits out the memorized deal they're pushing. I ask for a second. After 15 secs or so I say that I'm ready. He says go ahead....I order....nothing. He then asks me to repeat. I say, "I'll take a chorizo epic scrambler burrito combo (a.k.a. #16)." What to drink? "Powerade" Small, medium, or large? "Medium is fine". He then repeats my order by saying the number (not the meal name). I obviously didn't pay attention to the combo number (my bad), in the belief that since I had technically ordered the same thing twice that there was NO WAY they could mess it up. Well....when I got to my destination, I pulled out my receipt and meal. I was given the HeuvoRanch burrito combo (a.k.a. #14). Not busy, early in the morning (830am-ish), aaaand they screw it up. Food: Powerade was cold and tasted fine, hashbrowns were extra brown (overcooked?), and the burrito was okay I guess, considering that's not what I wanted. Oh, the joys of fast food!...
