Mike is so informative of the desert and native plants and their needs. He carries an amazing amount of drought tolerant plants as well as natives. I have admired his expertise since I moved to this area in 96. What they sell at the local "box stores" are not adaptable in our area for the most part and all tend to die or not perform well. We hired Mike after getting an amazing referral from another trusted contractor. Mike is old school: no cell phone and does all of his landscape drawings by hand. Unique owner Mike has to be one of the most decent, old school sincere gents in the High Desert.

Notwithstanding reasonable pricing, Mike's knowledge of permaculture, bee or butterfly friendly plants, as well as drought tolerant trees is extensive.

From theory to practice, nearly everything I've purchased from Unique has thrived: Palo Verdes and Desert Willows, from Aleppo and Elderica pines, Spanish Broom to Blue sage.
