I have seen & purchased interesting & not so common pieces from CV Art & Frame. The proprietor Barbara is so knowledgeable and yet still warm & friendly. She helped us choose a frame basically identical to the one we brought in that had decided to jump off the wall & break. The work she put in to reframe & mat my limited edition print so that it worked with my companion pieces beautifully! CV Art has had some very interesting shows this Spring/Summer. There was one of Dr. Seuss which highlighted his more traditional work that had hints to the characters to come. Being a huge Beatles fan I loved the show of John Lennon's artwork & acquired a great piece of a cat watching Goldfish in a bowl. Who knew Lennon loved cats as I do. We attended the show of photographs taken by Lennons' mistress, May Pang during his "lost weekend." There were so many pieces I wanted, but chose one that touched me the most, John & Paul , relaxed and chatting on a balcony. May calls it “One Last Time “.May Pang was a pleasure to meet and talk with. She is friendly, kind & very open to talking about her private life with John, Yoko Ono, other musicians & celebrities she got to meet and see in their private lives. A great experience for me & I'm looking forward to future exhibits and shows at CV Art & Frame. Besides the artwork on display they have a great selection of frames for anything you have and want to change. After enjoying the art you can head across the street for great seafood, clams & oysters on...
Read moreFor years I loved looking at the paintings here. Then when I moved from my home of 30-some years in Indiana to N. Carolina, I decided to start buying some artwork but couldn't find closer galleries with the depth and variety (besides Kinkade and Kinkade-like also the fun Dr. Seuss and other options) CV Art and Frame had. In addition, they worked with me really well on special requests and customization. For example, they found Winnie the Pooh options at my request and when I found a source for Snoopy / Peanuts gang, CV Art and Frame worked with that supplier to ensure legitimacy and provide intermediary between them and me as well as provided perfect framing for those pieces. Finally, I really liked a painting CV Art and Frame had but for an outdoor screened patio. They researched and worked with the artist to determine an option of materials that would allow the artist to duplicate it for outdoor use. CV Art and Frame also came up with a frame that was not only appropriate for outdoor use but also went perfectly with the painting (see photo). Of the 20-some pieces I ordered, it would not be a surprise if there was a human mistake in all of that, but the question for me is what does a store do when mistakes happen, and CV Art and Frame fixed it immediately - we shipped 3 paintings from my NC home to CV Art and Frame to have the frames changed and shipped back. I'm more than happy every day I look around the house at what they helped provide me. Thanks so much for your hard...
Read moreI took 5 paintings to CV Art and Frame and I could not have been happier with the customer service and the finished product. Rhonda helped me figure out the most economical way to frame the paintings (they were not expensive pieces but very beautiful and I love them a lot), while still being mindful of each piece's specific requirements for a sturdy and lovely display. One of the paintings was quite large (almost 6 feet long) and developed some wrinkles on the way home from the frame shop due to the heat and humidity, and when I emailed Rhonda about it she immediately responded and said they would make it right! I found the prices for each piece extremely reasonable and I am absolutely delighted with the end product. I will definitely come here in the future whenever I need artwork framed! Thank you...
