I purchased 2 $25 coupon vouchers. I used the first one at the Brownsburg location. Absolutely no problem at all. The food was great and the voucher transaction was not a problem. So we thought we’d try the Zionsville location. Our server Jacqueline was an excellent server. But when it came time to process the voucher, all hell broke loose! Jacqueline tells me that their scanner isn’t working and they have no way to scan it. But I’m welcome to come back another time to redeem it. Um, NO! I live 50 miles away and don’t plan on being in the area anytime soon. So then she suggested that I give it to someone else or I could use it at the Brownsburg location again. Um, STILL NO!!! I ask to speak with the manager and she says she is the acting manager. She maintained her stern demeanor well but this was an outrage! She proceeds to tell me that other people with the vouchers had no problem with not being able to use them. I guess her tactic worked on them, she wore them down, and they gave up. I pointed out the fact that they should have posted a sign stating the fact that “their scanner was inoperable”. I then tell her that I will deduct $25 from the tab myself, if she chooses not to resolve this. She then says she’ll contact her manager. Then comes back and tells me to email my voucher to Wesley King, her general manager. Such a simple solution solidified my suspicion that this was this restaurant’s way to make more...

Food Review - Not, Bar Review. If you think Italian Beef needs cheese, don't bother reading this review.

Pre-Covid - Awesome. Grew up in Chicago, loving Italian beef. While Rush on Main wasn't nearly as good as Portillo's, it was closer to work, had reasonable prices and better atmosphere. Post Covid. The bread is crunchy and stale. Italian beef has suffered shrinkflation (there isn't any), food preparation and delivery is beyond slow, and prices have gotten ridiculous. Bad Italian beef, not a great place for lunch when you have 1 hour, and not in line with pricing of other options. Today, I brought two new people that have never tried Chicago Italian beef to Rush on Main. But, after today's embarrassing experience, they will never try it again. And, neither will I. Slow food prep (not the fault of the waitress), hard/stale bread, most importantly - where is the Italian beef?, (portions were beyond cheap), but prices exceed other lunch options. Last week I brought 3 people to experience Chicago Italian beef at Portillos for the first time- - it was an experience vastly superior to Rush on Main. Rush on Main used to be one of our lunch mainstays. But due to food quality, shrinking quantity, prep time and cost - in the future, I will bring customers and coworkers to other...

Visited this place on sunny Saturday afternoon in February. Located in downtown Zionsville, the entrance to this place is small but once you are upstairs, it is good sized restaurant. Ambience is cozy and super casual. Tables are kind of closer to each other and on a typical busy day, it might feel congested to people like me. We ordered veggie burger with chips and Buffalo chicken salad. The portion size of the meal was good. Salad was as normal salads are. But veggie burger was made fresh and delicious. It did not feel like a frozen store bought patty and had a distinct flavor to it. Our server was great. She was super busy with serving multiple tables in packed restaurant but checked on us to make sure we are enjoying our meal. Overall our experience was good. Parking is but tricky in that place. Given it was month of February, still we had to park far...

Heads up: 1. they have a 3% surcharge if you pay with credit card as well as other taxes (see pic) 2. very steep stairs with no elevator - it’s a very old building and smells like it The pretzel appetizer was the best thing we had but the honey mustard dipping sauce tasted like salad dressing. Tater tots ($2 upgrade from chips) were oily and had no taste so they were likely the frozen bag kind. Philly “sandwich” looked like a burrito (see pic) and also flavorless. Service is where this place shines. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and she would be one of the reasons we’d come back to Rush, for the service, beer and watching the Colts, but definitely not for the food. Eat beforehand!

Great Chicago tavern-style menu with excellent burgers, dogs, and Italian beef. The spicy cheese curds are also a regular treat of ours and they are, surprisingly, actually kind of spicy! My only complaint, really, is the men's restroom also doubles as an emergency fire exit so therefore the main door can never be locked. There is only one toilet in there, behind a half-wall with no door, and provides little to no privacy. Also note that climbing stairs is a requirement to reach the restaurant which is located on the second level. All in all, a great place - especially if you're in the mood for some Chicago-style eats in an appropriately themed local establishment.
