I went to eat here with around 9 people, and we all were left extremely disturbed and uncomfortable by the service, specifically the actions of the server, that we had there. To be specific, it was inappropriate usage of commentary towards us.
Let’s start with the positives of this place. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, and I was excited to celebrate my friends birthday at this place. The menu options looked rlly nice, and the aesthetic of everything was very pleasant. They also at one point cut the cake we brought in for the birthday, which we are appreciative of.
Despite these positives, it unfortunately was outweighed by the negatives. Our server was Micheal, and at surface level, he seems like a kind and helpful guy. However, he became a bit pushy at times when it came to recommendations. One of the girls at this table knew she wanted have a well done patty for her Angus burger, yet was pressured to change it to medium. Initially, Micheal said that it was to make the burger patty not dry, but the cooking recommendation made most of the burger entirely soggy, and made the girl realize she should’ve just stuck with her gut. However this is a minor thing. The major issue that really tanked the ranking was when another friend at the table received an asian chicken salad, and she told Micheal that it was a little too spicy for her palette. She was not asking him to change it or get a refund, just said “Sorry, I know the stereotype of brown women is that we eat spicy food, but I don’t fit that mold.” It was suppose to be a light, funny comment. Micheal proceeded to lean into her ear, “No, you’re exotic” in an inappropriate tone. Keep in mind a lot of us are 18, with some of us who just turned 18 recently, so it’s not like we are fully adults. This immediately made us super uncomfortable and on edge. He proceeded to say, “My ex was black, and that was the only good thing about her” and it just only worsened the tension. After that point, we all left either low/no added tips after the 20% gratuity. Micheal tended to peer over us as we tipped on his machine, and it made us feel really pressured. I felt I had to hide the screen from him because of this behavior.
Another experience from another one of my friends, while she was enjoying her food, Micheal walked up to her and asked if she would be able to finish all her food. She replied, “Yes, I’ll be able to do it” to which he replied, “Good girl” … Very unsettling and upsetting to hear. Keep in mind she’s 17.
Right after this, he proceeded to thank us for coming, made comments about our attire being very modest, mature, and good looking…. then proceeded to tell us to not date boys, but date mature men. He made eye contact with a lot of us while doing this. Not comments you wanna hear from an older server helping 17-18 year olds.
Overall, just not a good server. Food was ok, and because of this behavior, it left a sour taste...
Read moreHosted 3 out of state business associates for dinner and Cobblestone did not disappoint. I had not been to Cobblestone since their updated renovation some years ago. Our server Jennifer was wonderful. The cadence of menu explanation , water service , drink order/served , appetizer advice and check ins with our party was perfect. We asked about the lobster Mac and cheese bites appetizer and Jennifer advised it was very good. The party started in on them before I could get a pic. There were 4 rectangular batter fried pieces 3" x 2" with a small cup of dipping sauce. We each got our own piece. This is an innovative appetizer and had a good mix of lobster meat and Mac without being over the top breaded. The dipping sauce was light colored and had a contributory spicy zing to it. The local on tap beer selection was broad. My New England guests opted for the Hoppopatomas IPA. They loved it! We each had two of these through the dinner. Our entrees were all excellent! I had the 10 oz flat iron sirloin and ordered rare to ensure medium rare . Turns out it came out rare and was tender as get out and had what seemed as a salt/ pepper/garlic rub crust. This is one of the best steaks I've had in awhile . Served with a twice bake potato with garlic and cheese with sautéed asparagus . This was an excellent meal! A colleague had the sea scallops w risotto and said it was scrumptious . Another had the beef short rib over risotto and also loved their meal. Lastly , the special was red fish over angel hair pasta and the diner said it was great. We all essentially cleaned our plates . Great food! We shared a slice of apple pie a la mode . The slice had been warmed . It was phenomenal ! I can't say enough about the service and food! Did I say server Jennifer was great? Yes she was. You have to have great service and food to be a five star experience. On this...

We used Cobblestone for our wedding reception dinner on Saturday 10-14-23. We had 23 people (including us) and had the Bourbon room reserved. Liz, the owner, was nothing short of wonderful to work with. It really never felt like work organizing this reception. She was quick to respond via email. It was all such an easy, stress free planning process.
She allowed our cellist to play (low volume) in the room which really took our dinner to another level. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Our guests ordered off the menu. Every guest loved their entree.
Karen our lone server was SPECTACULAR! One woman with 23 people…I don’t know how she did it but we all felt taken care of. Truly have never seen such service from one server. Liz too stepped in to refill drinks and I thought that was very cool.
All in all, Cobblestone is a favorite Zville restaurant of ours and now it holds an even more special meaning. I would recommend Cobblestone to anyone looking to reserve a room.
Our wedding was so memorable and we are so happy that it was a part of...
