This is a hidden gem !. Down a tiny alleyway past few nail places turn right ( just off from main road along benh thanh market ( cua bac entrance). Be warned it is just a stall so not too many places to actually sit and eat per se, as it is attached to a formal restuarant. I was just lucky there was a free table, but it's easy to have it as takeaway dessert.
I first tried the coconut ice cream: 3 scoops in a coconut shell. The ice cream was creamy smooth, no lumpy iciles, thankfully not too sickly sweet and contains dry also flesh slips of real coconut too. Ie they use the shell and scoop flesh from inside ( see finished ice cream photo). Throw in 2 usual ice cream type wafers and i'm in heaven !
2nd tried the mango sticky dessert with creamy coconut milk. Again not too sweet. Mango was super ripe and naturally sweet ( my preference soft over-ripe mango), as I hate eating hard mangos.

He talked to me and my friends a lot of stories when he participated in world class competitions. It is a pity that it is in the alley so it seems to be hard to find but it is...
