One of the best experiences you will have. The show is so amazing and the springs are magically refreshing. If you go on a weekend or during summer or school vacations, go early because they stop letting people in when capacity is reached. We were burned by this once so we went to Pine Island. Weeki let us in later, just before the 3 pm show. Another thing, if there is a tropical storm or hurricane coming, they will close all day. We were burned by that on a different day. We went to Pine Isl (which also closed early) and then Bowl 360. Pick a good weather day and arrive early if you want to ensure you see a show. There is a small beach with chairs and plenty of other areas to set up your own belongings. There are snack shops or you can bring your own food. Also, bring lots of water as you will get thirsty quickly. There are three mermaid shows every day, weather dependent. Even though you will be indoors watching, the mermaids are outdoors in the spring, so they cannot perform in thunderstorms. When you see the mermaid show, you will not believe the setting is real. It looks beautifully surreal. It is well worth the drive and particularities. As you explore the park, you will be able to kayak through the river springs, go on a boat tour, zoom down a waterslide, float on the natural lazy river, or chill in the cool water. Noodle floaties are allowed. If you spend time in the water, afterwards, when you settle in for the evening, you will feel a special sense of restoration that only Weeki Wachee Springs...
Read moreI read alot of the angry reviews because the show they saw wasnt the little mermaid. There are three different shows. The little mermaid one was the last one of the day today while we were there. We missed it, but were fine with that. Theres so much other things to do. Also saw someone say its not like disney. You aren't paying disney pricess. You pay 13 for adults and 8 for kids. The show is super cute for the price. Anyways, my review.. I just took my daughter for her 10th birthday. This place was AMAZING!! Hands down 10 stars. We had such a good time. 1st off, the price is such a great deal. The spring area has different area set ups. Like the beach, umbrellas, chairs, sand, one area has fake grass with lay out chair/umbrellas. Another area has shelters. Theres bar area which was great. The slides are amazing, and the spring is so refreshing. There's a place to jump in and there is also a lazy river area where you rent your float for 10 bucks.. The Mermaid show is just so much fun. I felt like a little girl again and my daughter who loves mermaids was just memorized. After the show you take picture with the mermaid, no extra charge. Last, but not least is the boat ride! There are two restaurants and a gift shop, and a play ground. For the cost you won't get a better deal. Recommend it to everyone. Even a cute place for a date. We will be most definitely...
Read moreWe had a great time. The Mermaid show was really neat. The performers were right on point. The food from the Gallie was some of the best park food. All the staff was really nice. It has places/benches you can sit and take a rest. Very clean atmosphere. The boat lady had us cracking up, that boat staff was great! The cost of park entry was very reasonable. Tons of places to take some great pictures of Mermaids around the park. Loved the peacock that was roaming around park as well. Very laid back atmosphere.
There were a couple of things that were a bit disappointing, on website they had a reptile/ranger show...that has been canceled. And bc it is such a small park it was missed. But the major thing was the Mermaid Salon treatment. The cost was just over a $100, we booked out time frame online. We showed up 15 mins earlier to check in, then shopped in the store. They had "walk ins" in their chair when we checked in...when we mentioned we had an appointment so we could get in to see last Mermaid show we felt like we were suppose to just deal with it. She did get my granddaughter in chair just a after 2pm but did not do her hair as outlined in in the package deal. We felt rushed. The Mermaid experience is in the corner of the gift shop so don't expect a private area. If we go back that will not be apart of the experience...
