No ELEVATOR to second floor. Bathroom sink and counter outside of bathroom. When you open the bathroom door it barely clears the toilet, so you either have to literally stand in the tub or squeeze between the tub and toilet to close the bathroom door. No space to get undressed or dressed.
First morning went to eat breakfast and the front desk lady was talking to the hostess. Got the last small spoon full of eggs and the sausage was COLD. Hostess never checked the breakfast area for the 20 minutes that I was there. No food so some quests left. Trash bins overflowing. Didn't eat breakfast there for the next 7 days - ate elsewhere.
Hotel's computer doesn't work. Lady at front desk said that it had to be my fault because it wasn't theirs even though I kept getting a "Secure Connection Failure" message. Asked her to try and print my baseball tickets for that day, she just laughed, said good luck and walked away. Luckily I had printed my receipt at home and was able to get the tickets at the actual ballpark. Missed the first inning of the ballgame.
Got to our hotel at 8:30 pm Friday night only to find that we had a bathroom sink full of ants - not just a few but hundreds. They had crawled all over our toothbrushes, toiletries, got in my makeup and traveling case. We washed as many as we could down the sink. The next morning we still had ants and when my husband was shaving a cockroach ran behind the sink. Then while he was showering a cockroach ran up the wall of the shower.
So my husband went down to the front desk to tell them about the ant and cockroach problem and requested to talk to the manager. Were told that the manger was not available until Monday morning. They never apologized or offered us another room. My husband insisted on talking to the manager NOW and the front desk lady told my husband to get out of the lobby or she was going to call the POLICE.
When my husband got back to our room we called Quality Inn Customer Service and filed a complaint. Were told they would immediately talk to upper management and call us back. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Sunday morning we called Customer Service again to check on complaint, once again told that someone would call us back immediately. DIDN'T HAPPEN.
Tried to find another hotel to move to but between MLB Baseball Spring Training and College Spring Break most of the hotels were booked or the rooms were $300 a night or more. Decided to stay where we were because Quality Inn already had our credit card information and we were afraid that if we left they wouldn't give us a refund.
HOUSEKEEPING IS HORRIBLE!
Never emptied food items in the refrigerator from the previous guest, at least 1/2" dust on top of the coffee maker, something all over the sheets (I don't even want to think what that might have been), water melted in ice bucket overnight - never emptied it or replace the plastic bag. Glob of toothpaste still in sink when we returned that night. They would make the beds, empty the trash and replace the towels if you were lucky. Also we were there for 7 nights and the maid told me that they only change the sheets when the quest checks out and not during your stay.
This hotel allowed pets. On the second day that we were there, someone spilled dry dog food all over the steps to the second floor and no one ever cleaned it up. Steps to second floor and walk ways in front of rooms were fifthly. There was a blue recycle bin under the stairway for the 8 days that we were there any never emptied. SMELLED REALLY BAD TO.
Manger who we found out is also the owner never called us on Monday as promised. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS GUESTS.
I take care of my disabled sister so it's hard for me to go on vacation. As a Christmas present our son who lives in Wisconsin took a week off of work and came home to Pennsylvania to help with my sister, took care of our dogs, and watched our house while we were gone for 8 days and 7 nights. WHAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE AN ENJOYABLE VACATION TO GO SEE MLB SPRING TRAINING IN FLORIDA, ONE THAT I LOOKED FORWARD TO FOR MONTHS, TURNED OUT TO BE A NIGHTMARE FROM HE**.
I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HOTEL COULD HAVE THE STAR RATING THAT IT DOES. EVEN THOUGH THIS HOTEL HAS A REASONABLE RATE - STAY AWAY - SPEND A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND GET A BETTER QUALITY HOTEL. BECAUSE THIS ONE...
Read moreDO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER!!!!!!! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY ANYWHERE ELSE! My daughters & I came to this town and had to go home after 12 hours of misery. We arrived at around 12:30 AM on a Sunday night, after a 3 hour drive. We checked in and went to bed. The next morning, my daughter flushed the toilet and it wouldn't flush. I went to check it and flushed it again. It overflowed onto the bathroom floor. I turned off the shut-off valve and mopped it up with the 4 towels provided. We then left for breakfast in the lobby and I waited at the front desk for several minutes until a lady casually got up and acted irritated to have to move. (She'd been sitting at one of the breakfast tables, casually chatting with another woman the entire time that I was waiting there at the front desk. I guess she was hoping I would give up and just leave. I then noticed when she finally found the time to attend to customer service, that both women were wearing dark green shirts; so, apparently, they were both "working" that day). She slowly walked towards me and then raised her eyebrows in my direction, and flicked her chin upwards at me, as if to imply, "Can I help you?" I explained that we would like to request a room change because the toilet was not working. She responded, "Nah, we can't do that ...." I asked why not, since there seemed to be no shortage of parking spots outside and barely any customers eating at their breakfast.... ""'They don't like people moving all around, all over the hotel. I'll send someone by, to check it out and fix it." I explained that I did not want to wait for the repair, or for any stranger to be in the room with my daughters there and that I was leaving shortly for an interview and had to have a working toilet immediately. She said, "Well, then call me at the front desk when you return and we will fix it then." I took that to mean that she would move my room later, when more people checked out. I wasn't sure. But, I couldn't be late for my appointment. So, I was forced to get dressed over dirty, wet floors in the bathroom, without a way to use a toilet, in preparation for my interview. When, I was returning from the appointment, I called her again. She said, "No, I can't move you to anything except the second floor." I simply decided to check out and go home, rather than extend the stay for a second night...we had so much luggage, etc, the whole ordeal had been exhausting! I did not want to lug everything upstairs and back down again, in a hotel that seemed very uncaring towards guests and obviously dirty. They did not seem to care about the facilities, the cleanliness, or the guests' comfort or satisfaction. I called back again to say that we had decided NOT to book another night. She said, "well, since you left after noon, we have already charged you another night's stay. It's too late. I told her that we had requested a 1 pm late checkout and she said, "No, you didn't, it's 12:45. You were supposed to leave at 12:00." I said, You cannot charge for a room we are not even occupying. You know that nobody can even use that room without a functioning toilet!" She said, "Well, ma'am, it IS functioning, since the man already came and repaired it already. " I replied, "Then you knew we had already left! That's wrong to charge us for a room for an ENTIRE ADDITIONAL NIGHT, when we are not even using it, and we have already checked out!!That is robbery." She said, "You left few minutes after 12:00 checkout--you have to pay for another night!! She already said they were re-renting our room!! SO, we ended up paying $165.02 for less than twelve hours in a dingy DUMP, with NO toilet & a badly stained chair! She told me "NOT my problem. You can call Mohammed, the manager the next day to discuss it. He is only here from 9-12. So, I called today, and he said, "Bad luck, ma'am! I was one who fixed toilet. I call 'toilet overflowing' WET CARPETS-so, no overflow! I can do nothing for you." We spent 7 hours RT driving & 12 hrs at a dirty place WASTING TIME/arguing/headaches w/ NO REST AT ALL for...
Read moreWell.... if you asked me 10 years ago I would have given this place 5 stars. But the only staff that was amazing was Kati and the overnight front desk woman. Greylin left a lot to be desired. Let me share. When we checked in a day early at 2 a.m. it was pretty much even though your checking in on the same day as your reservation that will be a full price night. Ok after a little conversation since we were going to be staying a week she said she would give me the "weekly rate" for that night slash 5 hours. Anyways, we were vacationing... we basically slept there except on Christmas day we did hang out in the room with the door open and still the issue I'm about to address happened. We left our family vacation 3 days early. Each day we would leave, go some where, explore from clearwater to cocoa Beach, we didn't just sit in the room. 1st day we returned to an unclean room beds not made floors not swept nothing. Second day I had to ask before departure which I did to ensure our room got cleaned. When we returned our room was cleaned. 3rd day (christmas) nothing. No cleaning no nothing. 4th day we asked for our room to be cleaned again came back to unmade beds and some towel and pillow cases thrown on the table. This was also a kicker and I will provide a picture because I was going to share it privately with the owner Mo Patel but apparently even after reaching out to the corporate office he can't find time in his busy schedule to address any issues, we came back late to the entire sidewalk covered with some ones belongings. It was disgusting. They had 20 plus garbage bags plastic drawers children's things and it was just all over. They were doing an eviction and apparently the women and child that lived there had payed and stayed over a year. Which is great and everything thing but since I brought up that our room wasn't getting cleaned and Graylin wanted to go get the housekeeping record and tried to tell me I had my do not disturb sign out each day it didn't get cleaned. Which I did not in fact the first day I had it with me in the car 80 miles away. Anyways let's get down to us leaving 3 days early Which shortened my overall stay shorter than a week....now they have to check with the GM or owner if I still qualify for the weekly rate? Because in Graylin's words if you were so unhappy why didn't you leave the first day? And those people (with all the stuff) they had been living there for a year and since on my 6 day stay I could barely get my room cleaned wonder what theirs looked like. She very kindly told me that was non of my business. The following morning we saw the exterminator in that room the refigertor and microwave outside on the side walk and we decided to go through with our VACATION PLANS (day 5) and leave the next day. Basically after about 45 bug bites on me and my children and I just thinking they were mosquitos and then realizing 2 doors down from us was roach motel we made arrangements to leave the next day which we did. I had expressed to at least 5 staff members all the issues and what I was told by Greylon her self was basically its not my business the filth they allow and if I was so unhappy why didn't I just leave? Well graylen.... me and my family were on vacation we didn't book the room to live there we slept there and after exerted effort on my part to ask beg and plead for the bare minimum we made ARRANGMENTS to end our vacation early and head home. Also let me just remind you it is my business because I have young children who are watching and quite frankly I don't want my kids exposed to that. Any ways all my things are still packed up because I have to ensure that the filth that was a couple doors down didn't share with us. I would like to thank the woman that I spoke with on the choice hotel corporate telephone call. She understood exactly what I was saying the point I was making and the concerns I had as a paying customer. Also the ice machines don't work they know this and just say someone used all the ice. This is just my experience and like I said years ago it was...
