What a lovely charming place Ningaloo Lodge Exmouth is! As you enter you can tell lots of thought has been put into this place, the smaller details and especially the super cute decor! Everywhere there are cute plants, little birds, muriel’s, lovely cushions & table settings, cute lights. It’s really decked out nicely. Even the accomodation hall walls have cute hanging plants and mirrors. The pool area is super charming and quiet and feels tranquil so many trees and green it’s lush! So much foliage surrounds the premises and inside the premises it really feels like a mini tropical oasis. The games room is great and well equipped with a pool table and plenty of games to choose from. The kitchen is very large and has everything you could possibly need & includes things like kettles, tea bags, 4 different types of coffee. So many pots and pans, microwaves, stoves etc They have even have a ton of different spices and herbs and sauces for you to use! The room itself we are staying in is lovely, nice tranquil decor, cute plants, great storage everywhere, plenty of mirrors for us ladies to our makeup and check our outfits, plenty of places to hang things. There’s even a desk. Our room was quite hot with just the ceiling fan on but we also have aircon. We don’t want to waste too much electricity so we would put the aircon on for a short time to cool the room down before turning it off and just using the ceiling fan. The accommodation is located so close to the main shopping area of town just a short 5min walk to grab breakfast or pop to one of the IGA supermarkets! Lots of shops, restaurants, supermarkets & bars here. Highly recommended and would...
Read moreOur arrival at the Ningaloo Lodge in Exmouth was a surprise and not what we expected. It is a much older facility, comprising two main accommodation wings, with rooms running off a central corridor in each building. The rooms are very small, so if you want to bring in a lot of luggage, you might have a problem. |A small ensuite bathroom is attached to each room. Room furnishings are “old world”, like you might find at Nannas. |The retreat has a very well equipped communal kitchen, enabling guests to prepare meals during their stay. As no tea/coffee making facilities are provided in bedrooms, this is where you can get a cup of tea or coffee. An eccentrically decorated games room also runs off the communal kitchen. |In between the accommodation wings, is a garden area with table and chairs provided, which makes it an idea place to enjoy an evening drink or even a tea or coffee. A swimming pool is also included in this area. |Last but not least, the hotel also has a laundry for guests with washers and dryers, or a clothes line if preferred. |I think the best description of this facility is that it’s quirky and not your normal run of the mill accommodation. |This is why it makes it such a pleasant...
Read moreStayed a couple of days here, it was nothing special, quite dated and overpriced for what it was. Check in process needs improvement, reception was closed, no one to process "pay at the property" which resulted in an extra charge through booking.com. Your name is on a board outside reception with room number on it, key in the door.
The room was small, very basic and took forever to cool down when I turned the aircon on. If you are looking for anything other than SBS or ABC on the tv to keep the kids entertained then you are out of luck. The login details for the wifi were 'supposed' to be under the light switch, was not the case in my room.
The room had a funky smell to it, I put that down to wet carpet/skirting due to water escaping the bathroom (poor design). Speaking of mold, there was mold in the shower and the shower curtain had a brown scum line along the bottom.
Communal facilities were reasonable, pool was small but ok, if there were a lot of people staying here you would struggle with use of the pool and facilities.
The common areas were undergoing renovations when I was there, would have been nice to know this in advance.
Based upon my experience I would not...
