This is the sort of caravan park that turns you off going in to one! Given keys for what we thought/told were toilets but never needed to use them! A very busy front desk where staff are a little tense. Got a narrow and long site in the unpowered section at a corner (No 31) where there was no room to even open the awning of our modest 6 metre Sprinter camper. Right next to a long line of bins and can container so we heard the noise every time someone dropped off their rubbish! Droppings from Casuarina like trees got into every little crack in doors and windows and we kept removing them days after we left. No water taps for the unpowered sites. You had to cross the street to the powered section to get water and hope that occupants there had left a tap hose free! Very large sprawling park with no signage. Spent a lot of time walking around in circles just to find the laundry which wasn’t marked on the map we were given. When we found it there were only two washing machines and one dryer with hours of waiting in line to get the washing and drying done in wet weather. Heavy rain flooded all the roads within the park. Everyone near us in a tent were woken up with “rivers of water” as one camper described it to us, running through their tents – poor buggers. Didn’t see anyone from the Park come around and check on these people who were flooded out two nights in a row. At least one couple near us left their flooded tent booking into a room on the second night. Powered sites are on higher ground and they stayed relatively dry. Drainage non existent as we had to walk through ankle deep water to get to the bathrooms. Whilst it was unusual weather it was hard to imagine that an area that is cyclone prone is that unprepared for rain! Spent three nights here from the 7th June 2021. Was glad to leave and head for a free camp up the road with some space and dry ground. Check in is at 2pm and check out at 10 am like a hotel. Hard to understand why a 4 hour gap is needed for any camping site? Hours after we checked out at 10 am we get an email reminding us of the checkout time and that we were liable for charges if we did not comply! Can’t recommend and...

The service here was woeful. We booked a spa room 11 months ago. Had an agreed price and terms at the time of booking. Then 6 months later they try to increase the price by $450 because their rates have gone up. Only because we replied to say they can't do that did they simply say to us to ignore the email. I'm sure plenty of people paid it! But then we check in and room is not a spa room. Young friendly receptionist explains spa's are not working in both their spa rooms so we say well we should receive some money back if we're in a standard room. She goes to her managed sitting in a little room behind the desk. Comes back out to explain that we've already been given a discount and are on the cheaper rate already. BS! We nicely explain no, we signed terms and conditions and price 11 mths ago. That doesn't = us already getting a discount. She goes back to her manager, who still won't come out to talk to us themselves, and sends the poor young receptionist back to state the spa room and standard room are the same price.... we'll that's not what you said 2 mins ago when you said we were already on discounted price. She had nothing more to say and we didn't want to waste our day arguing via another person. So we left. The cabins are 2 star. Our shower in our standard room leaked water through the whole bathroom. Half way through our 7 day stay we missed the towel service, nicely took our towels to reception ourselves to ask for fresh ones and asked for 1 toilet roll to get us to our end of the trip. They handed over towels but wouldn't hand over ONE toilet roll. Instead we had to buy a whole pack from IGA. and well we weren't going to leave the 3 rolls behind for them to use that's for sure. Left them with a friend instead. Pool was also closed for several days for an unknown reason. So 33 degree sunny days and we can't even use the pool at our $250/night studio 2 star cabin. Total joke of a place unfortunately. A lot of the other places (except probably potshot) were far nicer....

Location is pretty good. The room, available room security, and customer service was woeful. We booked 6 months beforehand, deliberately paying extra for a Spa in our cabin (chalet?!!)... upon arrival were told, "no spa rooms anymore, but instead we've upgraded you to a 2-bedrm unit". So, we paid extra, didn't get what we paid for, and end up being "compensated" with an extra bedroom that we, as a couple, don't need & won't use. None of this was communicated to us before our arrival. We did not agree to the 'upgrade' and were not offered a refund for the money it cost us to pay in advance for a Spa room. Then the unit itself was basically falling apart. Windows were difficult to close, and only some of them locked. The front security door handle had been broken, and was difficult to lock with the key from the outside. There was no internal security snib on the front security door (broken/missing), so we were faced with either locking ourselves in at night or leaving the door unlocked - neither of which felt safe or OH&S sound. The second bedroom (the upgrade!!) window had a broken lock, so that too was left as an unlocked window day & night... not safe for our belongings to be left unattended & the unit was fully accessible through an unlocked street level window day and night, which also felt unsafe for us at night. Aside from that, the stove hob was missing buttons/controls, so we couldn't even use half of it. Only some of the ceiling lights and fans worked fully. The "block out blinds" did nothing, and trying to sleep with a room facing street lights on the main road was like trying to sleep in daylight. The pillows all smelled old, disgusting, and needed replacing. The pool was nice and quiet, which was one saving grace. Stay here if you don't mind basic, grotty, old, unsafe and...

Pre booked 4n stay September, powered site, 2 adults. Easy check in with happy and courteous staff, site C36 at the end of a no through road. Small size, we have a 14 foot van but no room for the car on site, it was side on to the van partially on the narrow road, as were all neighbours leaving minimal space for guests arriving/departing to manoeuvre. Closest amenities were a block of 4 ensuite style, clean but the shower curtains channeled water all through the bathroom. Unless you wanted to walk through others campsites (etiquette says no) you also needed to walk down the road and then back up the other side to access, similarly for the other further away amenities . Pathways should be created in the middle of these dead end roads to create better access. Pool area is lovely with shade and seating. It was disappointing that no-one bothered with the rules sign about supervision of younger children and no jumping/bombing, as such we only went once. There is also an adjacent cafe and restaurant with a terrific selection of food and drinks. Take away is available. The park is a great central position to the local beach, and the three entry points to the National Park and all the bay/reef access within it as well as the business centre and shops.

A sprawling dusty caravan park I couldn't believe the size of it and later discovered that all other caravan parks in town are comparable in size. Staff was cheerful and very friendly. Being peak season, it wasn't cheap. Shower and toilet block for women was a bit small and worn out, lock pad was coming apart from the inside but kitchen area had all the necessary equipment and large in size. Room was clean, bed comfortable, I had a good night's sleep. Although worried I was facing the main road, toy relief traffic noise was not an issue at all. There's a coffee cart that churns out very decent latte in front of reception.

This place was very nice, friendly, helpful staff that go out of their way to help you. Has everything you need to have a great relaxing stay. The amenities are good, well maintained and very clean. The pool is great, cold but so welcome when hot with a cafe located behind the pool fence that serves a limited range of food and drinks, ice creams etc. there is a restaurant on site that is always busy and the food is good. Really enjoyed our stay
