Black Swan Motor Inn — Hotel in Gippsland

My friend and I have just come back from staying at this motel/apartment for 2 nights. It was absolutely disgusting. I am very dissapointed in the lack of care and cleanliness this property has. For the price i paid for these 2 nights and the quality of things we got, was unacceptable, it was very disgusting and very dirty, i absolutely will not be back to stay here.this is a list of things that were wrong in our apartment and during our stay. lets start with the kitchen: the kettle was dirty, the sink had stagnant watter in it. had not been cleaned, the grill did not work, the fan above stove was broken, dirty and covered in dead spiders. The benches were not clean, the cutlery, cookware and crockery were all dirty, they had not been cleaned, we had to clan everything before we used it. there was no plug for the sink, or sponges to clean with. the fire extinguishers were out of date. Moving onto the loungeroom/balcony area: the couches were ripped, the aircon did not work due to how much gunk and dirt was on and in it, the glass sliding door did not lock, latch was broken. The air con unit outside was rusty, the curtain in the lounge was ripped and broken. Next is the main bedroom: there was rubbish under the bed, the light above the bed was broken, there was dirty marks on the bed linen, the door was broken and wouldn't shut properly. there is an outside light directly in front of the main bedroom window which was never turned off, made it hard to sleep in there. The second bedroom had a big chuck of wood missing from the wardrobe door. Next up is the bathroom: No plug for sink, used bar of soap on the shelf, shower head would not stay upright, perfect if you wanted to clean your feet only. The noise that the water made when turned on was painful to listen to, when other people were having showers or turned on the water late at night, it would wake you up. there was pubic hairs in the shower along with some mould in the corner. The lid of the bin in the bathroom was broken. the toilet paper had not been changed, always has to be changed after each tenant. now lets move on to outside: the pool was green and slimy, was not looked after, the public BBQ's were not clean, the grounds around the pool and playground were unsafe to walk, hoses and other random stuff just laying around, it was a tripping hazard. We were not made aware that you had to reverse your car into the spot, this was very awkward because of being doing a lane way type of parking. there was a dead fish on the footpath, again another tripping hazard and very unappealing to see. The manager/ caretaker or whatever the role he has, can not speak englsh, which made it hard to communicate. This is just the major things we saw, there was alot more that I am not going to...

I had booked for the tourist park next to this Motel. however, google Maps did not take me to the correct driveway, and i couldn't see the sign for the Black Swan Motor Inn from that entrance. I figured I was in the right spot.

When I headed into reception, I told the woman I had a reservation, and she asked if I booked online, to which I said yes. She looked at something on her phone and grabbed a key, and showed me to my room.

TWO HOURS LATER I have unpacked the car, gotten into bed, about to fall asleep, and a man knocks at my door telling me I haven't paid. He then puts me on the phone to a woman to give my card details to.

Half an hour later, I realised I was at the wrong location, and it was too late. The fact that no one actually checked if I had an online booking is disgraceful and dangerous. All the people I interacted with did not seem like they wanted to be working there, and they weren't very friendly.

There is no security and anyone could walk in to the property, there was no ceiling light in my room, spiders in the bathroom, chip crumbs under the bed, the lock on the front door was barely hanging on, and the lock on the back door didn't work. The only cups were 2 mugs. There were ants by the TV.

I would not recommend this place. There are much cheaper options that are...

On arrival, we were earlier than expected. Was asked "what are you doing here". I replied that I had a booking. Was told, to go away and come back at booking time. No early luggage check in or welcome. Very rude. Parking is difficult because of skip bin permanently placed in turn around area. Must drive car backwards to fit in car space. Unsecured facility. Can walk into complex 24/7. Car park security was a concern. Minimal kitchen utensils. Pool facilities, gate broken. Water is green, unfiltered and not cleaned. Kids unable to play on grass area. Big sign saying "no ball games". Owners park on the area so you cannot use it. Playground has no fencing for children. No shade areas.

Deluxe double room, is actually a single room with bed, lounge and kitchen in one room.

Pets allowed, but not pet friendly. No facilities. Extra cleaning charges given on arrival for pet.

Seen the owners during our stay. No hello, or wave. Just stare at you. Makes it uncomfortable to be there. Terrible for family. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Could not change my booking. No reschedule and No refund .DO...
