Bidgee Motor Inn — Hotel in Hay

We are loving our stay here! The motor inn room was very clean and had trendy furnishing. The best part though was the shared yard area out the back. It had a huge weeping willow with a grassy area. There is a fire pit and benches to sit around. Lime and lemon trees are growing all around. It is a great set up. There is a covered barbeque and lounge area. We already had dinner plans but it would be such a fun area to enjoy a meal in. There is also a pool area with relaxing couches and a "tiki" style covering. It would be a perfect place to relax in the spring and summer (pool area is currently closed due to covid but I'm sure it will be opened up soon). The receptionist was lovely and so accommodating. The town of Hay is such a cool place to visit for a couple days. Lots of history with the Gael and the Dunera Museum. Beautiful, historic buildings line the main street. I just stayed here two days ago on a motorcycle trip to Uluru with my buddy. The owner Jackie & Joanne are super nice, they contacted me few days ahead and asked me for any special request. I told them that we will be travelling with motorcycles, so we would prefer a "clean room with easy access so we won't disturb other travellers". Joanne kindly gave us room No.1 which is right next the main gate. She also waited for us until 8pm Sat night and kindle showed us around. The room are super nice, sheet are bathroom are clean, and a lot of nice detail that made our sleep very nice! I would definitely stay in Bidgee Motor Inn again...

This review is of Sam's Cottage (part of the Bidgee Motor Inn).|| It's a great place to share with friends/family. The cottage is welcoming, has all the facilities to cook in, relax and has the feel of a second home. The beds are extremely comfy and the cottage is well appointed with everything that anyone could want. || Things to consider - the front door can be difficult to open depending on the weather and the second bathroom/toilet is actually in a separate place in the back yard.
