We absolutely loved our overnight stay at Black Sheep Cottage! Suzanne is a wonderful host who ensures you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage was cool and welcoming on arrival - a real treat given it was 40 degrees that day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the generous selection of snacks and sandwiches stocked on the counter and in the fridge. Its convenient location near the main highway, coupled with the owner’s coffee shop that opens at 4:30 am next door, makes it perfect for travellers. While the cottage was everything we expected the owner was so unbelievably rude and would not take ownership that she had doubled booked the cottage. I can’t help but wonder if she asked us to leave as she had provided us a better price direct than had obviously been booked through booking.com. Fortunately we found accomodation in Hay elsewhere that was happy to take us and our pet or we would have been forced to continue driving. The manager of the new accomodation was not surprised to hear our story apparently has happened before.

Wow!!! one of the best if not the best place I have stayed in and around Hay or anywhere for that matter, We have been travelling between SA & NSW for over 30 years this was by far the best place that we have stayed. Clean and tidy, great location, Quiet the best continental breakfast choice I have ever seen and they allow you to have pets with an enclosed small courtyard couldn't ask for more. Owner was great, good old fashioned service, friendly and easy to deal with. We would highly recommend on your next visit to the Hay area to make this cottage your choice for...
