On a Sunday morning in Hay, there is not a lot of choice - but you do have Kinfolk and it’s a pretty good option. The place was busy at 0830, filled with locals and travellers like me. Luckily, it’s a big open space, with plenty of seating, and even outdoor options for the brave (it’s pretty cold there in winter!). Ordering the food and coffee was quick and easy, with only a short wait, and I was warned that there could be a 20 minute + wait on the food. Coffee came out quickly and in about 15 minutes my breakfast egg and bacon roll came out. It was hot and tasty, and the coffee was good. The place was spotlessly clean, service was great and the food good. I left very happy.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Hands down the BEST brekky place we've had so far!!! We're from Sydney and I actually work in a cafe in Sydney, so it speaks volume. The size of the iced coffee here is impressive! The taste is on point as well 👌 Their big brekky & choc chip pancake are value for the price, plus the quality is 👌👌👌 They are the only place that opens on Sunday, so it's another plus for anyone who's travelling to Hay. Let's support this genuine local business!!!

Hay is a small town with limited options so if you find something good then stick with it. This cafe served a tasty big breakfast that I decided to come back for lunch. I was very impressed the pasta Bolognese used a flat pappardelle like an Italian would and not spaghetti that is popular in countries outside of Italy. If this place was opened for dinner I would have all my meals here.

I only gave 1 star for the appearance of the shop, as for the service well the coffee was quick and below room temperature, then had to wait 45mins for 2 bacon and egg rolls and that was after I questioned were our order was. The very rude waitress replied after going to the kitchen just waiting on the buns to toast, 10 more minutes later and after the coffee was drank the dry bacon and egg rolls turn up the only saving grace was the bbq sauce that made this disgusting meal palatable, so do yourself a favour and eat somewhere...

Whilst the food was alright, better given wait time for the food would have been appreciated. Was originally told 20min which was fine as we were travelling through so I did a couple of things and came back. Food still wasn't ready and was told it was nearly done. I then waited for another 25 minutes. I don't really mind about the wait even though it was a bit long, but if they said 40min wait upfront I could have done a few more things or had the option to go...
