Cuccina Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Launceston

Went here 11am, it was absolutely packed. While I expected a wait, I did not comprehend how long it was going to be.

We were there maybe 20-30 minutes before somebody took our drinks order, and we ordered an iced chai and a glass of water. We asked if we could order food as well, and the waitress said she could only take orders for drinks and not food, and that we were 3 tables behind on food orders.

As people vacated the tables, they were being left with dirty dishes stacked until over half an hour later. People were standing and waiting for 15 minutes+ to even tell the waitress they were sitting outside...

Flash forward another 40 minutes and our drinks have not arrived and our food orders still have not been taken. While trying to catch the attention of the waitresses would deliberately avoid eye contact. When the food waitress came to collect our order for food, we asked how long our drinks would be, she said they were still behind on our drinks and there was a wait!

We asked for the water at least, and she said they ran out of cups - if we wanted water we had to buy a bottle. Decieed eniugh was enough and left after well over an hour of waiting,...

This may usually be a great place welcoming cafe but sadly it was not today. We arrived and as there were a few spare tables without a reservation we sat in a two person table. I went to the counter and asked for menus. The young lady snapped at me and said "for next time you should wait to be seated". There was no sign stating this excelt as I left the counter, so not near the front door. Funny but after I came in noone was being greeted or seated. I did let her know this was their only time to impress us as we are just visiting. She shrugged her shoulders and looked away.

Then when our meal came, our coffee was not hot. Our simple breakfast consisting of toast that wasn't toasted and still cold in the middle. The small mound of scrambled eggs was not very cold and the chutney was freezing cold.

Unfortunately, someone let your the team down badly today. Maybe the next person will be from here and will spread the word, so perhaps treat them with respect and be friendly. I'm sad you were having a bad day, we hope it improves for you.

Its our last day here and yours is the last impression of Launceston and Tasmania's...

Used to love going there at the beginning. However, the service has been terrible lately not to mention food has been cold lately as well. Recently me and my husband went and waited for thirty minutes for someone to take our order and left as no one attended. I have also been there with my husband few weeks ago where they took the order and never delivered our order until we asked more than thirty minutes later. They said they forgot. I have been there two days ago with my friend and asked for a vanilla latte and egg on toast only for them to ask if I needed any food. Despite me repeating myself, they asked at least five more times before getting the phrase “Eggs on toast” right. Then it was served cold after a while. Staff often appear disengaged, disinterested and annoyed when it comes to settling the bill. They often come across as they are annoyed you are there to settle the bill.
