I had the unpleasant experience of staying in this apartment, let me tell you this place was so bad that it was actually funny..towards the end we just had to laugh. It started before we had even checked in, I received a call from the receptionist about me being late to check in, check in is after 2 and this was around 3, since when is check in on a schedule? I explain to her that I'm looking for the car park and she told me I need to book it in advance and that it cost $20 a night, when I asked if I could get a spot at the time she told me there's none available and won't be any until after my stay. Upon walking in, she instantly accused me of having a party, because I was holding a box of Pepsi/creamy soda, I was with my mum, my 5Y old son, my partner and my best friend, I'm unsure what crazy party she was thinking I was going to be having with an elderly and a child.. She then started telling me that it only sleeps 4 adults like I had more with me? I counted the adults to her in confusion. We got to the elevator, already having 3 negative encounters just upon check in, my mum had put the key in her bag and was searching for it, the lady then opened the lift and said you won't be going anywhere if you don't scan your key in a rude tone, why is she standing outside the elevator? We finally get to our room and take pictures of the damage as most people would do to avoid any charges, I noticed our remotes had no batteries, went down stairs to report the damages so she knows I had nothing to do with them, she pushed my hand away and would not look. I got some batteries and went on my way. That night I went over my booking and noticed that I was given the wrong room, I had booked for 2 single beds and a king size bed, my mum and friend didn't feel comfortable sharing a bed so one had to sleep on the couch. The same night I went to have some dinner, there were no bowls. We had to use cups... The following day, we notified the receptionist about the incorrect room and the bowls, I received some bowls from the back and he told me housekeeping will fix up the room for me (please note this was a different receptionist from the one who checked me in) I got back later that night to find that housekeeping had never come despite them saying they come daily, I had to use a dirty towel that had been sitting on the floor all day. I had to wash the towels late at night and the washing machine was very loud, it triggered my autistic son. That night, the hotwater turned off, this must have been because of us because there's a hotwater system inside one of the bedrooms, we had to have a cold shower as we thought it was for a conducted heating type of thing, this information didn't seem important to relay when checking in a family, when this system is easily accessible to a child. After a cold shower I made a complaint, I'm not one to complain but this was where I drew the line, I "enjoyed" a nice cold shower and used wet dirty towels afterwards! The internet was very slow, and often disconnected, we could not stream anything and struggled to load up anything, we all used our own internet. The beds had no fitted sheets and I often found myself waking up on the mattress. After my complaint I had the receptionist barging on my door, yelling at me for complaining, she begun blaming me for every single issue I had encountered. She refused to give us our room that we booked, she wanted me to pay an additional price for the extra bed. It felt like everything had hidden cost and that no matter what they just wanted to get money from me, there's an after hours reception that you cannot get through to...but guess what, that also has a fee.. Will never be staying in this place again, and I would not recommend it to anyone!

We had booked for two nights. This place was disgusting! First off getting the keys was so dodgy, which was having my room number written in whiteboard marker that rubbed off and didn’t know which room I was in and they were stuck together with blutack? Checked in to a dirty disgusting room which was not cleaned after the last guest. I had called the after hours number at 7pm for help and which was answered by a rude man named James, he basically said and quote ‘I’m not at the Dandenong building so I can’t help you, you’ll have to take it up with reception in the morning’. No apology, no offer of new bed sheets/pillow cases/towels & he expected us to sleep in that disgusting room till morning! On the website it says that reception staff hours is 8am - 4pm which was false because there was no one there all day. I then called the same number which was picked up by James again and he said ‘reception won’t be there till later and I can come now so I’ll call you when I get there’. We then waited hours for James and he did not come. Our room keys ended up not working on the outside door so we called the number again, picked up by James and he was very rude on the phone. I asked when reception will be open he said that reception does not open on weekends meaning he gave me FALSE ADVICE! & that he will help me with my room key but nothing else and that I’ll need to put it up with reception on Monday. So he expects us to stay in that dirty room on our last night AGAIN?! He then came down in 1 minute! Therefore James has been in the building the whole time and did not even try to help us with this dirty room in anyway & still no apology! We had reported this to our booking provider which was Airbnb who had given us a full refund for two nights & given us a voucher for our next booking (thank god) and we booked somewhere else at a CLEAN hotel, no way we are staying another night in this gross place. Disgusting room. Disgusting customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE. You’ll be paying for a dirty room with horrible service. This place does not deserve one star in this review.

We stayed 6 nights here in a studio apartment, as everywhere else was booked that suited our location for hospital visits. There was on 1 day out of the 6 that we had housekeeping and that was when we were leaving our room and the cleaners were next door cleaning. This was the only time we had our rubbish bins emptied. We were told then that housekeeping was done every day! False advertising there by staff. Had to buy our own toilet paper and soap as well. Phoned for clean doona, etc, phoned for 2 more pillows as we wanted to sit on the bed to watch the A4 sized TV and we only had 1 pillow each. Dust everywhere, so in order to put up with it, I cleaned it myself!! I fixed the pull in the curtain! The Entrance desk was not manned whenever we needed something or left or returned to the building, and yet it was stated in the apartment desciption as being so. Masking tape on the wall covering a hole as shown in picture. Powerpoint coming loose in the bathroom. Scuff marks on the lower walls as well. This place needs a good clean!! The only good thing...a comfortable bed...luckily for when my husband left hospital!! Not worth the money, it wasn't expensive, but still too much for what it was. Sorry...honesty prevails here.

I stayed at this apartment from 15th - 18th December. On the day we checked out, the hostess asked me to leave the key cards in an open letter box and confirmed that she was aware of it being locked(and that anyone could’ve just taken the cards and enter the apartment). I had no trouble during my stay and until 2 days after I checked out when added a positive review about the place in Airbnb. A few hours after the review, I received a call from Robert (Manager at The Central Apartments, Dandenong accusing me of stealing the items(electric kettle, toaster, etc) that were in the apartment. He said that everything at the apartment was stolen and accused me for it. His choice of words and tone were awful even when I repeatedly told him that I didn’t steal anything. When I asked him how I can prove that I didn’t, he just scoffed! He said that he received this complaint from the hostess and when I said I’ll speak to her, he said that there’s no point and asked me not to call her. I contacted her regardless, and when told about the call I received she said that it was not the apartment that I stayed, but a different one! When I tried to contact Robert afterwards, he didn’t answer. Therefore, I sent him an email about the conversation I had with the hostess and requested that he confirm that it was a false accusation. Shortly after that, I received a response confirming it, with no apologies for his awful behavior. Even though the stay was comfortable, this experience ruined it all and Robert was just awful. I highly encourage everyone who intends to stay here, to look for other options. If you still intend to stay, make sure you have all the conversations in texts/emails (so you have proof) and to take photos of the important details. I hope Robert will be more civil and responsible and get his facts right before throwing false...
